Is everyone blaming the undertaker for the death of the American economy? A whole series of administrations have encouraged the export of American jobs overseas. While the Chinese, Koreans, etc. have charged headlong into actually producing things, America has embraced the service sector. "Ya'wanna supersize that" is the motto for the direction the economy is headed. While Americans have excelled at consuming, the developing world has actually figured out that the key to developing wealth is production. The choice is debt and consumption or saving and production. If you think things are bad now, wait until foreign interests decide they no longer want to hold any US debt. Then America will not only have no production, it will have no consumption.
Of course Obama is an idiot. He is so far out of his league and has no understanding that while socialist agendas do a fine job redistributing wealth during good times, no enonomy has ever recovered by embracing socialism.
