ASSOCIATION OF PRIVATE COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES

Quote: Consumer Protection and Investigations of Internet Accreditation Organizations

The Association of Private Colleges & Universities (APCU) is an exclusive organization concerned with the welfare and protection of the Internet consumer. Our goal is to protect the Internet consumer and to investigate so called "accreditation" organizations that intentionally deceive the Internet consumer - meaning the fraudulent diploma mills that are operating under the pretentious guise of being an established and legitimate college or university. With vast numbers of businesses operating on the Internet, how can you, the consumer, be aware of which businesses are legitimate and which ones are not. With no governing authority to regulate online businesses, the responsibility falls upon individuals or public interest groups, like the APCU.

It seems that unaccredited TRINITY INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY boasted accreditation Rolleyes by unrecognized APCU (a name very similar to that of existing organizationsBig Grin).
The APCU-EDU.ORG website was registered along with DEGREEINFO, GAYBUCKS, GAYNUTZ, and other domains linked to Thomas Chip White, owner of degreeinfo...talk about one's reputation.

So in addition to
1 gay teen porn sites
2 distance education censorship
3 medical quackery
4 new age quackery
5 fake therapy sites for alleged teen victims of sexual abuse
5 we add: UNRECOGNIZED ACCREDITING AGENCY SERVING UNACCREDITED SCHOOLS.

Not bad for the sheriff of morality in online education...the champion of the accreditation ministry...Big Grin

Great catch, ham!

APCU is listed among the "Unrecognized and Fake Agencies for Online College Accreditation" at GetEducated.com, the "Diploma Mill Police."

Quote:Here is a list of 30-plus distance learning accrediting agencies that claim to oversee a variety of online and distance learning college and university degree programs. Most "accredit" diploma mills or degree mills.

Consumers Beware - NONE of these accrediting agencies are recognized as college accreditors in the U.S. by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation or the U.S. Department of Education. As such, colleges claiming “accreditation” by these agencies are not widely accepted as valid providers of higher education online and should be approached with great caution if online college credibility is important to you.

Remember - Most diploma mills and degree mills are accredited -- but by fake or phony agencies that the degree mills themselves own and operate!

We have ultimate proof that while doctor Fifteenboim was being groomed as the next pundit for morality in distance education, the groomer was connected not only with a mushrooming gay teen porn empire, but with a fake accrediting agency serving fake schools...you think the accreditation dream team might care about it...it took me 5 minutes to find it...no insider's job. As I always say, it's all a dog&pony show...even grandma agrees

Chip's fake APCU should not be confused with the legit Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU), the former Career College Association whose members include some 1,800 legit private career colleges (trade schools, business colleges, etc.).

Despite APSCU president Harris N. Miller's connection with Democrat party politics, that organization is legit.

You have to wonder if legit APSCU might consider taking some steps to prevent fraudsters from usurping their good name. Being easily if mistakenly associated with pedophile-pandering porn peddling, coffee enema quackery and fake teen sex-abuse websites can't be good for business.

We know Gollum is an idiot. He can't even find lawbreakers in his own household, so you really can't expect him to find scams right under his big nose. Given the extortion allegations that surround his activities, there's a good chance that even if he did know about APCU he was being bought off.

On the other hand, Klempner never misses a chance to take a shot at ACI, presumably because they accredit Christian schools. Yet not once has Klempner mentioned Chip's bogus APCU. Bill Gossett referred to APCU way back in 2003. David Appleyard had them pegged in 2002

Chip the gay boy pornographer himself described APCU thusly in 2002:
Quote:The "one woman show" that runs APCU misrepresented her organization, threatened to sue at the first sign of someone questioning its legitimacy, and refused to answer any detailed questions about its operations , how it makes decisions, how many schools it accredits... oh, and she also admitted that APCU was started by one Gus Payne, who was originally associated with Trinity.

Chip the gay boy pornographer at AED back in 2000:
Quote:> I received the following e-mail from the 'new' administrator of the APCU
> website:
>
> Dear Sir, Madam
>
> Let me introduce myself, my name is Joyce Wallace BS-ASL, and I have now
> taken over the responsibility of approving private colleges and
universities
> through the Association of Private Colleges and Universities. My new
> responsibilities include a thorough search of private institutions,
complete
> with background searches, credit checks, institution policies as well as
> checks through the Regional Accreditation Association and the Distance
> Education Training Council.

Hmmm. Well, my "SCAM" flag is still up. I sent an email to the
organization more than a week ago basically asking them to demonstrate why
they weren't a scam, and heard nothing back.

Just now, I tried calling the phone number listed as the APCU's number in
the whois database, and got a recording for the Government Printing Office.

And our friend Joyce Wallace hasn't offered any indication of who set up the
organization, how it is funded, what its mission is, or anything else. As
for the "paperwork" submitted to make it a "true nonprofit organization", I
doubt it very seriously. It takes a *lot* of effort to submit a viable
application for a 501©(3), and I find it difficult to believe that this
has already been completed when they've apparently done nothing (yet) to
determine who they may have "accredited".

I also find it interesting that in the same sentence, Ms. Wallace refers to
"they" and "the student". She can't even decide if there is one or more
people in the organization!

For my money, it's still a fraud, plain and simple. When Ms. Wallace
provides some evidence to the contrary (for example, access to a copy of the
501©(3) application that's been submitted, a copy of the nonprofit
incorporation filing, a listing of all staff members and organizational
affiliations) then it would make sense to reconsider. But if it looks like
a duck, quacks like a duck and shits like a duck, it's probably a duck.

But mysteriously, no mention of APCU at DebrisInflow since 12/2003. Apparently Huffman didn't get the memo.

Who called off the dogs, and why? At what point did Chip's scurvy crew of perverts take over the APCU operation--or was Chip running it from the get-go?

Google "John Bear" ACI -acid and you get 888 hits. On the overall scale of scumbaggery, most non-perverts likely would rate "employing lax standards in accrediting Christian schools" somewhere well below "producing and selling gay boy pornography," "selling coffee enemas as a cure for cancer," or "fake counseling teen sex-abuse victims." Apparently Klempner thinks otherwise.

The only person who ever seemed to know anything about APCU was Chip, and now it shows up in his back pocket? Klempner makes nearly nine hundred comments about ACI--but not one about ACPU? It's deja vu all over again. The "experts" never quite seem to know what is really going on. Why would that be, I wonder?

Will the clones now be piling on to vilify Chip and APCU? Don't hold your breath.

Quote:Bill Gossett referred to APCU way back in 2003

Someone at the boehluvahcentral mentioned it in 2001...but apparently they forgot about it right thereafter.
So the last myth crumbles...
Yes, gay teen porn
Yes, medical & new age quackery
Yes, bogus therapy sites for supposed teen victims of homosexual abuse
yes, no university degree
but at least he truly was so honorable to have nothing to do with degree mills & the like: wrong.
In fact, the site correctly lists other domains that everybody knows he has links to: with millions of domains out there is little doubt that might be casual.

Oh, but they have an explanation for that, too...

Quote:Are you looking for the APCU (The Association of Private Colleges and Universities)?

Guess what! They forgot to renew their domain name,
and the devious folks at DegreeInfo.com acquired it.

APCU was a fake accreditor for the equally unwonderful Trinity College and University. Although the APCU's website was originally owned by Gus Payne (associated with Trinity), in its most recent incarnation, it was operated by a one-woman show in Arizona, who once threatened to sue DegreeInfo for asking questions about the legitimacy of her organization. Apparently, she got tired of the "rigorous" job of protecting the public from (uh, no one, since she endorsed several fake schools) and has disappeared.

For those interested, there's lots more dirt on this situation (and other legitimate as well as nonwonderful schools) which you can find by searching the distance learning discussion archives at www.degreeinfo.com.

Since 2001, DegreeInfo.com has been the premier Web resource for reliable information about distance learning programs. We now offer a free, searchable database that includes every quality, regionally accredited school we know of that offers a distance learning program, as well as lots of articles, information, and other valuable resources for distance learning.

So we are apparently grasping at straws and it was all a...larkRolleyesBig Grin
Never mind asking why did they supposedly let it lapse after registering that domain...

Like unaccredited schools I.I.A.S, L.I.A.R, Millard Fillmore etc: a test to see how quick minded other people are...a lark...if people ended up paying for that, too bad it just shows they are slow-witted.
forget about begging the question why they would want anything to do with it in the first place...

For some reason, your link to ACPU doesn't work.
