Speaking of Uncle Janko ...

Uncle Janko provided a fairly rationale response in the following heated DegreeDiscussion thread.

Jack (Tracey) posted a link about a proposal for Baylor University to initiate a masters program in "creation science." Almost immediately Rich Douglas took the extreme secular humanist position, insulting everyone who didn't share his extreme view and casting aspersions on the rigor of Jimmy Clifton's academic training. Some things never change. This sent Bill Grover (always a pleasant guy) into orbit, taking, IMO, the opposite extreme view. Uncle J seemed to be the voice of reason, articulating a suprisingly balanced view on the topic.

Levicoff weighed in on the side of Bill Grover, as usual taking the opposite position of Rich Douglas. Later on, Lev basically b-slaps Douglas by bringing up the Bomber's involvement with MIGS and his current misleading DD signature line. Lev has had it in for Douglas for quite some time and there is always some humor in their exchanges.

You have to appreciate Douglas's position. In the military he was doing the work of a major general and only getting paid as a captain and they wouldn't promote him because of his crap (but RA) degrees. I mean, why would the military want someone who always took the path of least resistance? He would simply crater when the poop hit the fan.

I don't believe in the total inerrancy of the Bible, but I believe a lot of it. I also believe that inerrancy can be taught in a legitimate academic setting and think it is absolutely wonderful. Because I don't agree with people's views, I don't think they're stupid. Except the Bomber. He's stupid.

I appreciate Douglas's position. He's a dumb-ass, with a diploma, and feels the need to prove his ignorance with each post he makes. I won't waste my time on his unbelievable statements on theory, which are absurd. Now here are the facts, which, as usual, he doesn't bother with.

theory= A proposed explanation whose status is still conjectural. A coherent group of general propositions used as principles of explanation for a class of phenomena: Darwin's theory of evolution.

Now look at this:
"Scientists are not, by definition, anti-God.  "WE" just want to continue to learm......etc."
--Rich Douglas--DegreeDiscussion

So, now Rich has become a scientist. Is there any subject that Union Ph.D. doesn't make him an expert in?? Yep, common sense, business, mental normalcy, and about 98% of everything else. What a strange duck he is. He just says it, claims it as proven fact, and walks away claiming he won, Jeez what a moron.

The more I see him beat the hell out of Douglas, the more I see the value of Levicoff. Someone has to take out the MIGS shills and garbage.

About the inerrancy of the bible. How could the bible be perfect? We have a God trying to explain to ignorant pheasants what he is and why he does things. Can you imagine explaining the creation of the universe to beings who think a horse is a fast way to travel? We are lucky they (our ancestors) got it as accurate as they did. It's a great book to study and live by, IF, taken as a whole, and not by individual passages. My Opinion

DD and God's love. It hardly fits together. Especially when you toss in John Weaver-Hudson.

the bible is essentially a book of (unoriginal) myths.
December 25
The virgin mother + child in a barn (cult of Mithra among others, Rea Silvia etc )
Resurrected after 3 days (egyptian myth)
The flood (Egyptian/atlantean myth)
besides, it seems that aminoacids and proteins that started life came onboard comets or meteors, so the whole creationist item goes to hell, unless we corner god into having created flagelli in microorganisms and a bunch of aminoacid sequences.
Anything less than some bearded old man popping Adam naked out of mud would not cut it.
Then you have to face billions of other people worshiping books with different myths: who's right?
