Unifund CCR Partners

Another one - does Gus have a real job? I guess a high powered distance education expert doesn't make a lot of money pumping gas, the only job that quicky TESC qualifies him for. If he wasn't still exposing "frauds" on his website, I'd feel some sympathy. Aren't Unifund CCR Partners bad news?

From the Unifund website:

Quote:Our Approach

Thorough, Responsible... and technically adept, Unifund creates value for all stakeholders. We are thorough and responsible in recovering distressed assets -- managing, arbitraging, selling and otherwise liquidating defaulted consumer debt. Our approach is to study and understand the motivations that underlie debtor actions and behaviors. We focus on debtors with the ability to pay. Our technology enables us to evaluate and manage account information from various internal and external sources, which often rekindle the possibility of collection. We use a combination of sales, litigation and joint venture opportunities to liquidate the portfolios we own and those we manage for others.

We Seek These Types of Consumer Debt

Auto Deficiencies
Balance Transfers
Consumer Loans
Credit Cards
Government Debtor Obligations
Mortgages
Student Loans
Other Debt

We believe our technology provides a distinct competitive advantage over traditional approaches to debt buying, debt selling and legal collections. We purchase most accounts directly from issuers. Our business model is based on the regenerative nature of debtor credit cycles. We drive revenue opportunities in the buying and selling of non-performing assets through partnerships and strategic alliances.

Do you think Goose defaulted on his tuition for his 110-day TESC "degree"?

Unifund obviously thinks Goose has the ability to pay.  So this is not just the case of a guy down on his luck, about which we all would feel so very sorry.  Rather, this looks like a guy who just doesn't feel like paying his bills.  Maybe because he has better things to do with his cash, like playing the ponies at Hialeah or the dogs at Flagler.

Or maybe he's got more in common with Elmer and Bear than just DL????  Could Goose be "Client 5"?????????

Evidently he was cursed with a very good memory.  So he certainly didn't forget to pay.

Ha ha, that is a classic.  The Stanford biochemical engineering PhD getting lectured by the 110-day wonder with the TESC Humanities BA.  Too bad bullshit isn't money or Goose would have his creditors all paid off in minutes.

How are house prices in Miami? What is the Goose's $500,000 home now worth? I might be looking for a place in the sun at distressed prices, for a vacation home. Do you think if I offered Unifund $250,000, it would be mine? They must speak Engish in Goose's neighborhood? After all he sent his kids to the only white, non-Hispanic, high school in Miami.

Quote:I am simultaneously pursuing 4 distinct Master's degrees (2 of which I would actually call pseudodegrees). But I don't care whether I complete any of them (since I don't need the credentials). So I am not a good model...

This other doesn't seem less of a jackass...
I mean...are you attending schools you think are sub-par...? Four of them at once? Spending lots of money? What for? A shiny new degree? Go to Ebay and spare yourself the grief...

Quote:If so motivated, one can easily search through the dregs of academia to find an accredited pseudodegree that can be completed without too much effort.

wow...
who is this, Einstein ( who apparently "heard" or "borrowed" his E=MC2 idea from Poincaré and another Italian researcher, both published ahead of him in peer review )?

Quote:I have mentioned earlier in this thread that I don’t care whether I complete any of them. I already have three degrees (including MS and PhD from Stanford) so additional credentials aren’t going to do me much good (and could actually reduce the impact of my resume).

I make $1000 an hour, check out!

He may not be Einstein but he is the real deal.  He's got every good reason to be cocky, unlike Goose.

i am highly skeptical of any sky-high claim to fame, especially over the internet...
Here I (might say I ) make $1000 an hour, remember?

In addition to having THREE degrees already ( big ticket degrees, of course ), the person goes on and says he's pursuing FOUR degrees in various fields at the same time, of which two he judges "pseudo-degrees"...
There was this person in a online course I took long ago ( real names only there ) who claimed he was 24 and had FOUR degrees already, but his name wouldn't pop up in google-scholar and he was enrolled in a beginner's course.
Another person claimed to have TAUGHT philosophy at M.I.T, but was enrolled in a beginner's philosophy course...
Again, on google-scholar you find nothing under his name but a book on computer programming (a person with the same name, perhaps? )...ah, he claimed also to be an acclaimed plastic artist...

4 masters degrees simultaneously? Gert Potgeiter is a known commodity among long-time DL forum fans. He is the real McCoy. Gert Potgeiter is a pseudonym.
Goose is a known commodity, a 4 time loser.

yes, claims he got a Stanford degree but UNISA rejected him because he hadn't completed high-school...

the name isn't the only thing to be "pseudo" I'm afraid...
