Oh, I don't know guys, I always thought we have an illegal immigration problem because Americans like their head of lettuce $.99 a head and delicious strawberries $1 per pound; when in season of course.  The reality is illegal immigrants do the jobs no one wants because those jobs do not pay a living wage and the American demographic that used to do that kind of work are happy being on welfare for the last 2-3 generations.  Pay living wages for those jobs and Americans will take them and there will be no need for immigrant and migrant labors.  But then us Americans would have to pay $10 per cheeseburger because the price of the leaf of lettuce costs McDonald's $5 per leaf.  Can't have it both ways.  To me, "protecting the border" argument sounds a lot like that idiot Gollum and his argument of protecting all of us from Diploma Mills to reduce the number of fake doctors killing everyone and McVeigh didn't have a fake Chemical Engineering degree either Gollum, you asshole.  I don't recall a single terrorist from 911 or otherwise come from Mexico. Also, when the immigrants spend their measely below welfare salary on Budweiser every weekend, I seem to recall they have to pay Sales Tax and Liquor tax on that beer, so please don't say they do not pay taxes.  There is no American that would pay income tax on that salary as it is illegal to pay someone as little as they get paid.

I agree on most points, and bringing foreign cars into the USA is our fault for muying them because they are so cheap. I don't and never have owned a foreign car. The issue with border control includes those 11 terrorists who primarily came from Jordan here on student visas. That futher emphasis needs to be placed on border control, than means from all countries, not just Mexico. Closing the Medican border now is like closing the gate after all your cattle got out. It mans nothing if the 20 million (SHAME ON US) are not treated like the ILLEGALS they are and snet back to their own country, Mexican and other ILLEGALS.

That business of jobs US citizens don't want, holds no water. Supply and demand is the issue. If jobs that paid $50 to $75 per week were not available, employers would have to pay US minimum wage and put those US people on wellfare to work. Many states now have very sucessful, welfare to work programs. We have to remember, in Mexico, citizens make the same as $5.00 USD - $10.00 USD a week in wages.

When my grandfather moved from Europe to Kansas about 100 years ago, he cost the government absolutely nothing other than the few bullets it took to convince the previous owners of the land that Oklahoma was a nicer place to live.
