I don't think they were advocating it, I think they meant that three years in the joint for a guy with major heart problems is the equivalent of a death sentence, which seems a little severe relative to the offense involved.

Hey, this is America. Just because you didn't do anything wrong doesn't mean you aren't going to jail. If the judge handing out the time is sitting on the board of trustees of your biggest competitor, pack your toothbrush, you're getting free rent for a year.
