I don't think they were advocating it, I think they meant that three years in the joint for a guy with major heart problems is the equivalent of a death sentence, which seems a little severe relative to the offense involved.

Otherwise...what's the over and under on how long poor Steve actually will serve (i.e., before his ticker 86s him?)  If it's six months I'll still take the under.  

Okay, at this point it looks like I might have overstated it a bit. Wouldn't be the first time, and can't say I'm feeling the least bit bad about it.

If no federal law prohibits selling unaccredited degrees, and the FTC doesn't consider it a fraudulent business practice, why is anyone enjoying a Club Fed vacation for doing it?

Hey, this is America. Just because you didn't do anything wrong doesn't mean you aren't going to jail. If the judge handing out the time is sitting on the board of trustees of your biggest competitor, pack your toothbrush, you're getting free rent for a year.
