Is nothing sacred?
There is someone at aed pretending to be Dr. Goldblatt. He's about as humorless as a conservative Lutheran preacher.

Why doesn't the gang get a life and pretend to be their own failed selves instead of an icon of distance education?

That's not Goldblatt, it's more like one of them, the gang. Unfortunately the gang doesn't have to pretend to be losers and failures in life. All they must do is wake up and breathe, oh yes, and look in the mirror.
They are losers because they do little and exaggerate that into great success and wealth. They drink a coke and it becomes an expensive-exotic beverage. You know what a successful day really is for them? To avoid bankruptcy one more day. To come up with the rent, again, and then go to the computer and talk about how rich and famous they are. They do TESC and talk Harvard, but isn't that the way of all failures, exaggerations and lies.
"Now did I say 300k, no maybe 350k, I know-it was more than 350k, that's it." Now I remember. "Hey guys I stand to make more than 350k this year and I drink $150 bottles of wine, ain't I something."

You know they really should try modesty-common sense-truth-and simplicity. It's so much easier. It must be hell trying to remember how you told the story the last time so you can repeat it the same way.
