It must be so easy for those guys to make the determination that schools accredited by Black governed countries are degreemills.
White guy Alan Contreras has St. George's University of Grenada on his Oregon degreemill list. It is certainly accredited and very well respected but obviously lacks the quality that can only come from white oversight. Hasn't this guy been deemed a civil rights violator by Oregon courts? Why does he still have a job? Who's he bl........ Strike that last comment. I really don't want to know.

Quote:Registrars and admissions officers are, by and large, really knowledgeable. Their annual and regional AACRAO** conventions always have sessions on recognizing fake schools, fake transcripts, so on.
Eh?!
I have a statement in writing from Athabasca where the senior registrar confusingly apologizes for their clumsiness alleging their lack of resources.
Such B&M, large state universities as Cardiff, Lampeter, UQAM etc have been declared over time "non-existent", "suspicious" down to the confusion with other universities...by and large really knowledgeable.

What lack of resources? Oregon can evaluate the thousands of schools in the world with a staff of 1. They have no problem determining which accredited schools are legit and which are not. It's pretty black and white to them. What's wrong with Athabasca?

I notice the defunct Canadian School of Management is on the list of unaccredited degree granting schools. First, it never ever granted any degree - great research Alan. Second, it was accredited for much of its life by DETC.

Interesting thread from AED back in 2005 on that topic
here. Took all of ten seconds to find. Clearly Contreras doesn't want to let the facts interfere with his imperial decrees. God save the Queen...

From what everyone says here about Alan Contreras, he sounds like someone with far too much power. Just what are his credentials anyway?
Also has anyone tried suing him for libel? I am sure anyone who posts shit like that has to have made some enemies.

He has a law degree. I've never checked but someone said he was not a member of the Oregon bar. Must be an interesting story there.
