Granny Was A Union Goon
#1
Ever wonder where Klempner got the notion that stalking and threatening innocent people was "delightful"? Here's Klempner bragging about his grandmother's shameful participation in the ILGWU extortion ring:

Quote:My grandmother's high school started at 8 pm. It was called "night school." She could have slept in, but for some wacky reason, she chose instead to sew neckties in a sweat shop from 7 am to 7 pm every day.

(Later she was an organizer for the ILGWU. Does anyone else remember their charming TV spots from the 70s and 80s.
I think Woody Guthrie may have written the song.

The word "sabotage" comes from the practice by striking French railway workers of cutting the "sabot," the metal retaining shoe that held railroad tracks in place.

The extortionate arsenal of union strikers also includes murder, arson, assault, battery, vandalism and every other imaginable crime against person and property.

Quote:According to the National Institute for Labor Relations Research (NILRR), more than 10,000 incidents of union violence have been reported in America's newspapers, and on television and radio, since 1975.

But media-reported union violence constitutes only the tip of the iceberg. Samplings of police and company records collected by NILRR and other scholars indicate that 80-90% of violent union incidents are never reported in the media.

When combined, reported and unreported incidents of union vandalism, assault and battery, arson, and even murder may number over 100,000!

Well, considering that his pappy was a black-listed communist, maybe union goon doesn't seem so bad in comparison.

Also, contrary to Klempner's typically false speculation that the "Look for the Union Label" song was written by Woody Guthrie, in fact it is credited to Paula Green (lyrics) and Malcolm Dodds (music).

But it actually is a rip off of a song written by Jerome Kern, "Look for the Silver Lining." Kern also wrote "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes" and "Ol' Black Magic,"? among many others. Since the poor guy died in 1945 the union probably figured that just saved them the trouble of breaking his thumbs or murdering him when they stole his song.

Sabotage goes back to Luddism: disgruntled farmers whose winter jobs in weaving, spinning etc were taken away by the first factories damaged the first machines by letting their wooden shoes (=sabots in French ) into the mechanism...or so i read.

Any person or organization who would keep The Kinks from working deserves the eternal scorn of mankind.

Ray Davies does a funny song in his live show about that, although he leaves out the part where he punches the union goon in the face:

Quote:I found myself in the back of a big Ford Thunderbird
With a slick-looking dude
He looked like a punk from a B-movie,
The sort of punk that would piss everybody off
Until Lee Marvin put a bullet through his brain
The punk looked over at me
"Kinks? What kind of a motherfuckin' name is that?"
Then he reached over and picked up the car telephone
"Hey kid, I've got Elvis Presley's phone number.
I've got Ann-Margret's phone number. I've fucked Ann-Margret!"
I knew Mick Avory would be impressed with this, but I was not
And then the punk looked over at me
"I'll dial Elvis Presley" He dialed a number
"Hey, is that you Elvis? I wanna speak to the Colonel.
Jump to it, you mother!"
And then he looked over at me in a menacing way,
Reached into the glove-compartment and took out a revolver
He waved the six gun around, menacingly
"You see kid, when I deal with people, they have to treat me right,
Otherwise they contend with this! A gun!
Have you ever seen a gun before?"
I hadn't
Then he waved it around, put it back in the glove-compartment
"Welcome to Peoria, Illinois, home of Middle America,
Ice-cream and apple pie, guns and the Wild West"

All American wise guy, why achieve that gleam in the sun
Hamburger and a milkshake, all American dude
Popcorn and a t-bone, hot dog with a big smile
And a bad attitude, yeah yeah yeah

Flying across America on a TWA, flying to California
To appear on television, performing our new record Set Me Free
The Kinks were met by a union man with a contract to sign
And The Kinks didn't like signing contracts
"Hey, are you The Kinks? Sign this piece of paper guys!
I want you to sign this union-document so you can appear on television"
"No thanks mate, we don't wanna sign a contract"
"You have to sign, otherwise you cannot appear"
"We don't want to sign a piece of paper, alright!"
"Listen kid, you sign the piece of paper.
You with your red hunting jackets and your yellow frilly shirts.
Sign the piece of paper!"
"Do you wanna sign it?" He looked over at Dave
"Watcha gonna do kid?" "Fuck off!"
Which is a fairly reasonable thing to say in the circumstances,
But not very wise, you see, the man was a union executive
"Alright. Once I file my report on you guys
You're never gonna work in America again.
You're gonna find out just how powerful it is in America!"
The land of ice-cream and apple pie, guns and the Wild West

Great American union rules with the fist, a smile and a gun
Great American napalm lights up the sky like the sun
Great American eagle swoops down from the sky up above

And I remember the images of Lee Harvey Oswald
Appearing on TV saying he was a patsy
A union man is a-framin' The Kinks
While I thought "This is the land of opportunity"
But the Cosa Nostra are everywhere
Land of ice-cream and apple pie

Hey big fat cowboy, wearing that big six gun
Hey big fat cowboy, singing country & western
Hey big fat cowboy, moving that big six gun
Hey big fat cowboy, is this the way that the West was won?
Yeah yeah yeah

And 6 weeks later Robert and Grenville and Larry
Were sitting in their office in Carnaby Street
And the letter came from the American government
It was from the American Federation of Musicians Union
"A band known as The Kinks,
The English beat group known as The Kinks,
Are banned from America.
Their license to perform has been revoked indefinitely"
Yeah, all the same fuck off
In the land of the ice-cream and apple pie, guns and the Wild West

Quote:Oh, I did hit that guy, yeah...

I'm sure you know this one too:
Quote:'Cause that union man's got such a hold over me
He's the man who decides if I live or I die, if I starve, or I eat
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7HAfWWNQcI

Funny how the English guy understands America better than many Americans. Union goonism is so un-American, but then so is socialism and let's all say hello to President Pinhead.? The People In Gray have taken over...

Here's one for you Kinks fans: an ex-Ray Davies Mercedes on e-Bay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KINKS-Ray-Davies-f...0399122688

Not exactly what Johnny Thunder might be driving, more like a well-respected man about town doing the best things so conservatively. At least it's RHD!

Sold for ?310.00 ! (US$454) Is the economy that bad in the UK or do they just not remember one of their greatest geniuses? Should have sold it in the US, where people would pay $454 just to sniff the seats.

Quote:This was rock legend RAY DAVIES' first Mercedes (190E). Ray purchased it new in 1986 and another Davies family member bought it from him in 2000 (so two owners).
- Log book confirms Ray previously owned this car.
- Other details; needs an MOT. 142,000 miles, although new Crewe engine fitted at 98,000.

I would have figured him for a Jag-you-are kind of guy. But wasn't Jag run by BL back in '86? Ray probably didn't want to contribute to a government-owned, union-run farce of a car company. Sort of like what GM has become now under the Obamunist regime.

No surprise here but it looks like Klempner is a big Pete Seeger fan. Seeger is described in Wiki as "an unrepentant Stalinist" and by David Boaz of the Cato Institute as "Stalin's Songbird."

Given that Klempner seems to be an opponent of individual freedom and liberty, and an advocate of collectivism, union goonism and government oppression, maybe he should be called "Marx's Mill Meister."

Seeger is a 90 year-old folk singer who backed every Commie, labor, anti-nuclear, etc. cause that came down the pike. I can't see how anyone would view nutjob as anything other than an anti-American? Marxist who hates everything the U.S. stood for but didn't have the balls to leave.

Well...
Nobody probably told him after 1946 the party line in the 'great nation' had changed...maybe he was stuck to Churchill initiating a toast to Stalin hailing him as "the world's greatest man" and to the USSR as great, proud war ally "just like America".
Yes, many propaganda rounds in the USA emphasized how the USSR was just another proud federal state...CEKA just another version of FBI/OSS...equally principled and hard-working...
After so much USSR praise, they were horrified some "commies" still existed...
Great...

Churchill - March 5, 1946, at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri:

“From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic an "iron curtain" has descended across the Continent. Behind that line lie all the capitals of the ancient states of Central and Eastern Europe. Warsaw, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Belgrade, Bucharest and Sofia; all these famous cities and the populations around them lie in what I must call the Soviet sphere, and all are subject, in one form or another, not only to Soviet influence but to a very high and in some cases increasing measure of control from Moscow.”

Did Churchill ever praise Stalin? I guess so. Roosevelt licked his boots.

Apparently good old drunkard extolled just anyone's virtues...and damning vices, accordingly.
Few years before launching terror bombing to 'punish' German civilians through incendiary raids to -so was told- avenge the plight of the Jews, he had written texts blaming Jews for everything.
His serenades to Hitler and Mussolini go light years beyond state protocol...
Funny enough, while data appear of great freedom crusaders in the UK & USA bending over backward to whitewash the USSR, it seems that Stalin kept pretty much at arms' length...
