Before he croaks do you think Peter will write us all a letter detailing his adventures in non-traditional learning?

BTW, I do believe that Mel Suhd is the author of that letter.  (It's signed "Mel."  He refers to Ray Chasse in the third person.)

But I did enjoy it regardless of who wrote it, particularly this:

I have no love or respect for accrediting agencies. I think they are a big business fraternity with a vested interest in prescriptive mass education that prepares the nations citizens to serve the needs of those in power.... I believe that even at the highest levels of education, little effort is made to develop the higher levels of learning - analysis, synthesis and assessment/integration. Socratic thinking that could lead to dissent or individuation is dangerous, whereas standardization and fundamentalism are the easiest way to control.

But I will support accreditation over anarchy or laissez-faire systems while I struggle to support a better and more open way to assess the educational process.

Yep it was Mel.

Peter could write a good book about non-traditional schools including some stories not generally known. Peter flip-flops more than a pike on the dock so you never know what his opinion is on any day. I really like one of the Peters. I am not sure if it's the medicated one or the non-medicated one.
