Quote:I remember so well my father grumbling and muttering as he wrote a $2,400 check to cover my tuition and fees for the 1955-56 school year. What would he think of this year's $45,000 figure? As an accountant, he would probably say, "Let's see: a 19-fold increase in 52 years. That suggests that when your great-grandson is grumbling and muttering about his son's fees in 2059, we can extrapolate that they will be 19 x $45,000 = $855,000 a year."? Plus another 20 bucks for a Hershey bar.

John Bear's undergrad alma mater, whose unofficial slogan is "atheism, communism, free love," is under fire from law enforcement authorities for rampant drug use and distribution--that has caused two student deaths from heroin overdoses in the last two years.
Quote:An Intervention at Reed
April 26, 2010

The president of Reed College was summoned on Thursday to a meeting at a federal courthouse in Oregon where federal and state authorities told him that the college must shut down drug use and distribution at the college -- starting with an all-campus party that will take place this coming weekend.

While law enforcement officials periodically call on colleges to do more to combat drug use by their students, the meeting was highly unusual in that officials warned Colin Diver, the president, that Reed could face a cutoff of federal funds -- including student loans -- if it is not deemed to be taking "adequate steps to combat illegal drug activity." The meeting with Diver was attended by the U.S. attorney for Oregon, the chief of the narcotics section of the U.S. attorney's office, the county district attorney and the county's deputy D.A.

...The authorities told Diver that they believed drug dealers planned to attend Renn Fayre to sell to students, and that the college needed to take a more assertive stance against drugs. In the last two years, two Reed students have died of heroin overdoses. (Enrollment is about 1,400.)

Notice how the "cutoff federal funds" threat is used to get the communist atheists to do what the government wants. Not a far reach to see them using the same threat against conservative Christians for other government purposes, such as not employing enough perverts or not advocating the correct social justice bullshit.

But dogma aside, Bear seems to have something to say about rising tuition costs at Reed, but so far no comment on rising drug use and student deaths. You would think he would want to promote sales of his DEATH CARTEL board game. Can Dr. 4.0 In His Stats Classes extrapolate to tell us how many Reed students will die from heroin overdoses by 2059?? How many students at unaccredited schools died from heroin last year?

So I should pay $45.000 a year to go to a place in likely poor state of repair in the great company of drug addicts and join trendy parties that will delight me with the peanut-buttered voice of some African dork having conniptions on the mega-screen and pushers, perverts and others trying to sell me stuff...with Jamal and Quran waiting to talk to me outside if I don't...of course I can always compete for urinal girls with the entire soccer, judo, volleyball, football, cricket, polo, swimming, chess, checkers, softball team AND the brainy guys from the leninist society, the LGBT forum, the antiracistaction task force...nah! There is a debate between the spokespeople of the African, LGBT, genocide, women and chicano studies to settle the score about who the Nazis killed most...
Of course walking home late after all that fun through the poorly lit, huge campus looks like a bad episode of mortal kombat...Quran, Abdool, Jamal, Leroy and Farook...but the baseball bat skit is always funny...I pity those sick rednecks who live in undiverse neighborhoods...
$45.000 for all that? It's a BAAR-GHEEN.

IHE Wrote:And the authorities wrote that the drugs being pushed are much more powerful than those used in the past. This is precisely why Sam Tepper died -- shockingly potent heroin caused his body to simply shut down."

Crikey! Those illegal drugs being sold at John Bear's alma mater really pack a wallop!

Bear seems to be too busy joining in the trashing of IUGS at the gay boy porn front to notice his alma mater is a lethal drug-infested sewage pit.

How many people died at IUGS from heroin overdoses? Somewhere between zip, zilch and nada.

Not only is IUGS approved by the St. Kitts & Nevis government, it's also listed in the International Handbook of Universities. That makes it GAAP under Klempner's own standard.

What thinking parent shells out $45,000 a semester to send their kid to a dump like Reed College? It's the west coast version of that crap hole Oberlin.

If the Klones were really interested in helping people they would be organizing boycotts of these leftist RA endorsed rubbish heaps, instead of trying to drive harmless foreign small timers out of business. How about this:

PARENTS: BOYCOTT REED COLLEGE! Don't sentence your kid to four years in a crack house disguised as a college.

Sounds like the US Attorney agrees with you. From the NY Slimes:
Quote:After Sam Tepper, a senior physics major, was found dead at his off-campus apartment on March 23, local law enforcement officials summoned Mr. Diver.

"It's a complicated issue, but two drug deaths in two years on a campus of 1,300 students, something has to change,"? said Dwight C. Holton, the United States attorney for Oregon.

Law enforcement officials raised an unusual theory of liability. Under a federal law intended to close crack houses, anyone who knowingly operates premises where drugs are used may be subject to serious criminal and civil penalties.

Your idea of a boycott is interesting, but any decent parents who know anything about Reed are already aiming their kids somewhere else.

What you want to do is encourage drug use by the dumbass socialist Reedtards. Then the feds can close the place down like the tawdry crackhouse it is.

Fire Up, Shoot Up, Snort Up, with alacrity, all you Reedtards!
