Years ago, I used to communicate on back channels but there were no active conspiracies like the one exposed on Degreediscussion. We used to share information to solve individual mysteries and we solved a lot of them. I haven't done any of that for several years.
When I look at the vitriolic posts on the DegreeDiscussion back channel and their perception that everyone was an enemy, it all escapes me. I am no-one's enemy. Janko said some nasty stuff about me so I helped in the research to out him. It was all verbal jousting and nothing more. When someone withdraws from the game the nasty posts quit quite quickly. Staying in the game but crying like a baby when the other guy scores a point is a sign of no character at all.
The holocaust denier accusation - never have been - never will be. He quit accusing me of that after my standard reply became "Lutherans Killed 6 million Jews" repeated ad infinitum. Where this came from was a statement that holocaust deniers should have freedom of speech, not necessarily a fact in Canada.
