Dixie's Sentencing Memo
#1
As usual, George Gollin (George D. Gollin, George Dana Gollin) is acting the shill for the RA cartel and government prosecutors.  He's posted all the government's stuff but not a word from Dixie.

So in fairness here's a link to Dixie's sentencing memo.  This is quite a contrast to the large pile of garbage the government has presented.  Very effective, concise and does not rely on bootstrapping self-serving newspaper articles.  Does not need a shill to explain the important parts either.  Look for howls of outrage come July when she gets zero jail time.

Steve's Sentencing Memo (.pdf format)

Note the attachment refers to Ron Pellar's sentencing (8 months total on 9 counts, despite previous convictions for attempted murder and fraud).

Here's a wild card for you.  The sentencing judge, Lonny R. Suko, belongs to something called the College Success Foundation. (He's shown second from bottom.)  It's stated mission is to "provide college scholarships and mentoring to low-income, high-potential students."

Is he just a leftist do-gooder adding a worthy cause to his resume, or does he actually have a real understanding of the exclusionary practices of the higher education cartel?

Will he see this as someone who was bent on undermining his favorite charity, or as someone who tried to make education available to everyone and just stubbed a toe on a broken system?

Pellar--who already had served 4 years for attempted murder and 5 years for fraud--got 8 months on 9 counts...and he made $70 million!   Assuming that is the baseline, Dixie couldn't possibly do worse than that, and obviously should do a lot better.

If I had to roll the dice with my freedom at stake I sure as hell would take my chances on 12 average citizens in Randy Weaver territory before I would on one federal judge.

Judges are politicians.  Although federal judges are appointed for life, which takes some of the re-election politics out of the picture, the fact is that you just don't get to be a federal judge unless you are playing ball with somebody.  The only question is who this Suko was/is doing favors for that landed him this job.

It's really a leap of faith to think that a politician understands jack about the higher education cartel.  Look at those buffoons like Susan Collins and their congressional circus.  They called CCU a mill and a few weeks later it was accredited.  They don't know crap about the subject matter, they are just grandstanding.  Expecting this Suko guy to get it right on that basis is not realistic.

But he still may get it right.  Throwing old ladies in jail is really not cool.  Hopefully he's been on the bench long enough to be able to tell old ladies peddling dodgy diplomas apart from certified father rapers.  He'll look like a first class douche if he throws an old lady in the slammer, and I guarantee you that is more important to him than diplomas or cartels.

Pellar got 8 months because he's a sick old fart.   A lot of these judges are heading in that direction themselves if they aren't there already.  They know karmic payback is a bitch.
