My God man, I can't keep count. I enrolled in my first doctoral progam 5 years ago and am in sight of completion. Janko - you shouldn't have dropped out of CCU. The good thing about it is that it's manageable. I did discontinue another doctoral program which I might pick up after CCU. That's only 2. And I'm older. Alternatively maybe he's finished them all and not talking.

Dissertation proposal stolen?

As far as I know, proposals have to be submitted to and evaluated by committees. Whichever way it might be, at least a dozen people in the postgraduate office (including secretaries, archivists, need-to-know basis ) get to read it in its entirety, if they so wish.
Forgetting graduate offices...
Last time I submitted a UNDERGRADUATE dissertation in the UK, it went through:
1 the 'submission' office
2 the undergraduate secretary
3 the 'school' or department (E.G humanities )
4 the internal and external markers ( at another university, going through their respective offices )
5 the archivists etc.

These degreeinfo / degreediscussion clowns always want to attract attention and turn anything they do into something glamorous...
If they pass gas it isn't because of the beer & sausages they ate, but because a green beret delivered a secret blow causing them vaso-vagal return...

Then there is the usual 'gay connection'...homosexual student-professor lovebirds...
How does he know the professor passed the information to the student?
How does he know they are gay lovers?
Was the student a queer altar boy he had molested, perchance?

Their narratives may read impressive but have more holes in them than a pasta bowl...
