| Gay Al's Pervert Agenda |

When perverts like Gay Al attack Christian colleges and institutions it's not to stop "diploma mills," it's to further their pervert agenda. By "pouncing upon religious groups as public enemies" they are just following the degenerate dictates of their own "religion," to completely remake society in the image of communism.
Quote:Gay marriage decision: Communist goal realized

![[Image: GAYCOMMIES-300x180.jpg]](http://patriotupdate.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/GAYCOMMIES-300x180.jpg)
While I have written many articles on the topic of the 45 communist goals, it can’t be stressed enough that achieving “marriage equality” for homosexuals was definitely one of them. The Supreme Court’s decision on Friday, June 26 was no surprise to many of us, and in many ways it was used to continue the moral degradation of our society. The Obama Administration, as surely we have all seen by now, took the pleasure of flaunting their victory by posting pictures of the White House lit up with the colors of the homosexual’s rainbow flag. This was a “stick in your face gesture” as they know that the vast majority of Americans disapprove of the homosexual agenda, and there is an agenda. This was also a symbolic gesture in the eyes of the left because they view this as the replacement of the old culture with a new one. It was no coincidence, in my opinion, that this gay marriage decision happened at the same time there was all out war declared on the confederate flag. We are after all, dealing with communists whose entire agenda revolves around breaking down the moral standards by which many of us live our lives. Make no mistake America, this ruling pushes the United States one step further away from liberty, and one step closer to all out communism. Many people have a difficult time understanding this concept; after all, granting protection to homosexuals to marry allegedly embodies the ideals of liberty and justice for all. This is a misguided worldview, what it actually does is open the floodgates to the depravation of humanity, as I will explain in this article. From the 45 communist goals entered in to the congressional record in 1963:
25) Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography,
and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.
26) Present homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as “normal,
natural, and healthy.”
One of the main goals of communism has always been the destruction of the Judeo Christian worldview. Man will not allow himself to become subservient to an all powerful state as long as he believes in, and follows the laws of God. The Bible commands us to follow Gods law and not the ways of men, so in order to enslave the mind, belief in God must be discredited. The communists themselves don’t care about marriage equality; the issue is used as a means of demoralizing society. In fact; it is not at all uncommon for communist regimes to brutally oppress homosexuals, if not outright murder them. Many people find themselves wondering why the left is silent as Islamonazi’s continue to throw gays from rooftops, and burn them alive. It would seem that any organization truly dedicated to gay rights would acknowledge these atrocities while pointing out the safety most homosexuals enjoy in the United States. The goal, as mentioned previously, is not to give gay people equal rights, but to demoralize society in order to make us susceptible to an all out communist takeover. In order to do this, religion must be destroyed.
This was admitted by one of the leaders of the gay rights movement. Homosexual activist and journalist Masha Gessen admitted in a radio interview that the goal is to destroy the institution of marriage, not become a part of it. She admits that the whole argument being made to push their agenda for equality is a lie, and what they truly seek to do is destroy traditional societal values.
Here is what she recently said on a radio interview:
“It’s a no-brainer that (homosexual activists) should have the right to marry, but I also think equally that it’s a no-brainer that the institution of marriage should not exist. …(F)ighting for gay marriage generally involves lying about what we are going to do with marriage when we get there — because we lie that the institution of marriage is not going to change, and that is a lie.
The institution of marriage is going to change, and it should change. And again, I don’t think it should exist. And I don’t like taking part in creating fictions about my life. That’s sort of not what I had in mind when I came out thirty years ago.” Illinois Family Institute
Again, this is a concept many people have a difficult time understanding. The goal is to completely remake society in the image of communism. Sadly, these homosexual activists fail to realize that they are no more than “psychopolitical dupes,” or useful idiots being used to push an agenda that in the end will strip them of all humanity as well.
To understand this further we need to once again, refer to the Soviet Manual on Pyschopolitics. The whole communist agenda can be best summed up saying that they are attempting to label America as a sick society in need of mental healing. For centuries, men looked to the clergy in order to solve problems of the mind and spirit. Communists despise this because they want to rule over man, and as mentioned previously, men who follow Gods laws cannot be ruled by men. Consider this quote from page 60 of the Soviet manual.
“You must work until religion is synonymous with insanity. You must work until the officials of the city, county and state governments will not think twice before they pounce upon religious groups as public enemies.”
The attack on Christianity is in full swing in almost all aspects of our culture. The homosexuals are being used in an effort to label Christians as being bigoted and homophobic while simultaneously tearing at the moral fabric of our society. Unfortunately, as many of us are well aware, the gay marriage issue is just the beginning and it is the symbolic “slippery slope” leading to the unimaginable. In my book, “Not On My Watch: Exposing the Marxist Agenda in Education,” I included some text from a research paper I did while in the Masters of social work program at the University of Oklahoma. The social work agenda is big on gay rights, and in social work education the issue of heterosexual privilege is synonymous with white privilege. Heterosexual privilege is defined as-
Benefits derived automatically by being (or being perceived as) heterosexual that are denied to gays, lesbians, bisexuals, queers and all other non-heterosexual sexual orientations.
To be against homosexuality is now viewed as a bigoted position. Those who enjoy the benefits of marriage are now considered the oppressors of those who are allegedly being denied these privileges. This spans well beyond the scope of just gay marriage as the issue of pedophilia is making its way into the main stream. If you remember, not too long ago Rutgers-Camden professor Margo Kaplan declared that pedophilia is not a crime, rather a condition one might be born with. This is how the argument was made that homosexuality might in fact be normal. She also declare that pedophilia should be considered a human right because people who identify as having sexual orientations towards young children are often marginalized because they have to keep these orientations to themselves. Many people have warned that the issue of gay marriage would open a floodgate; well that floodgate is indeed open. The efforts are well underway to repeal the age of consent laws, as was the topic of my research paper, and to redefine the term pedophile with the term “minor attracted person.” The overall goal here is to normalize sex with children. In fact, in 1998 the American Psychological Association issued a report claiming that child sexual abuse was not as harmful to children as previously believed. Also, they went on to suggest that sexual relationships between men and young boys could actually develop into strong caring relationships. Furthermore, they suggested that harmful effects from sexual abuse would only result if the child was forced into having sex with an adult, not if the child chose freely to do so. This is sick beyond comprehension; however it serves as further proof of a communist agenda. Once again we need to refer to quote from the Soviet Manual, page 62.
“Technical papers should exist as to the tremendous number of cures effected by psychiatry and psychology, and whenever possible, percentages of cures, no matter how fictitious, should be worked into legislative papers, thus forming a back ground of evidence which would immediately rebut any effort to actually discover anyone who had ever been helped by psychiatry or psychology.”
What this quote is essentially admitting is that communists lie. They have subverted every aspect of our culture and submit false evidence that attempts to discredit the Judea Christian worldview and turn the minds of men towards communistic solutions, through the social sciences. Issues that can be disguised as human right struggles are being used to actually denigrate society in an effort to demoralize the nation, making us ripe for conquering. Homosexual rights, the black lives matter campaign, racism, feminism and wealth inequality are all being used in this manner, and the activists pushing these issues are nothing but the proverbial “useful idiots” of our time. If we do not reverse course now we will certainly follow the same path as other communist countries before us. Once men have become completely demoralized they no longer have a leg on which to stand to defend their nation.
To learn more about the psychopolitical agenda and communist indoctrination check out my book “Not on my watch: Exposing the Marxist agenda in education.”

I have the early Bear guides, 1980-82-85. My 1982 guide lists as the 8th guide. My first one was 1980. I decided to get one or two from the 70's, but, they don't seem to exist. My 1980 guide should be number 7. That means the guides would go back to the mid to early 70's. I have looked carefully and had my son (he's better on the computer) take a good look and neither of us have been able to go back further than the 1980 guide book. Could it be that John actually started at number 7 and that there are no 1 through 6 books? If anyone has or knows about the existence of these lost books, please comment.
It would be very interesting if they don't really exist. Just saying!!

Hillary Clinton’s attempt to defend veterans highlights her hypocrisy

Hillary Clinton took aim at the for-profit education industry last week saying it lies to military veterans to boost profits, but the industry’s most predatory schools are Clinton Foundation donors.
Clinton during an event in Nevada last Thursday accused for-profit schools of exploiting the so-called 90-10 rule in order to “target service members, veterans, and their families with false promises and deceptive marketing”; the rule, established by the amended Higher Education Act of 1965, caps the percentage of total revenue for-profit schools can receive from Title IV federal financial aid. The rule forbids for-profit schools from receiving 90 percent of their revenue from federal financial aid—but the amount of federal money they receive in the form of veterans’ benefits is not restricted—making service members and veterans attractive prey for the revenue hungry industry.
The school relying on veterans’ benefits most has been the for-profit University of Phoenix, which took in nearly $1 billion in G.I. Bill funds from 2009 to 2014 according to PBS.
The Apollo Group, which is the parent company of the University of Phoenix, has donated up to $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation and at least part of that donation came as recently as 2014.
The University of Phoenix is highly effective at recruiting veterans. The school’s San Diego campus, which has a high veteran population, took in $95 million through the G.I. Bill during that five-year span, which is more than any other college in the country.
Unfortunately, much of that money is going to waste. A recent study found that only 16 percent of University of Phoenix students graduate within six years. For online students, the graduation rate is just 5 percent.
Brown Mackie College, also a 2014 Clinton Foundation donor, is part of the Education Management Corporation (EDMC), which is the country’s second largest for-profit college company.
A lawsuit from whistle-blowers against EDMC that became public in 2014 alleged that it was recruiting veterans by overpromising on post-graduate employment prospects, and that EDMC was lowering the reported incomes of its applicants with the goal of receiving more G.I. Bill funds.
“[EDMC’s] business is not that of an educational institution. It is a sales company,” argued the attorneys in the suit. “Defendants place virtually no stock in providing students with quality educational services and therefore are not entitled to participate in the federal financial aid program.”
An earlier lawsuit filed by the Department of Justice argued many of the same points, stating that EDMC disqualified itself from $11 billion in federal and state funds due to its recruitment practices.
The DOJ complaint stated that EDMC, which is partially owned by Goldman Sachs, operated a “boiler-room style” sales team.
Recruiters were instructed to “exploit applicants’ psychological vulnerabilities,” and targeted applicants “who were unable to write coherently, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs, or who sought to enroll in an online program but had no computer,” according to the suit.
Clinton’s criticism of the industry extended beyond its abuse of the 90-10 loophole.
“Unfortunately there are some programs that take people’s money and do not produce the results that were promised, and we’ve got to crack down on that and put them out of business,” said Clinton last week during an event at Trident Technical College.
The Laureate International Universities, partially owned by the liberal billionaire George Soros, have donated between $1 million and $5 million to the Clinton Foundation. New York Magazine characterized Bill Clinton as the “face” of Laureate, which enrolls 800,000 students worldwide.
Clinton was paid an undisclosed salary for his “honorary chancellor” position with Laureate, but resigned earlier this year.
Laureate has been criticized for “turbocharging” enrollment at its schools and lowering admission standards to the point that its schools are now “the place you go when no one else will accept you.”
The Clinton Foundation also received money from Kaplan in 2014, which earlier this year made a $1.3 million settlement payment to DOJ for using unqualified instructors to teach students that were paying for their education with federal funds.
Kaplan has been criticized for targeting students who would likely drop-out—so it can receive government aid money without providing any service.
The main target was “African-American women who were raising two children by themselves,” according to a whistle-blower. Other markers that those in the sales department were looking out for were “low self-esteem, reliance on public assistance, being fired, laid off, incarcerated, or physically or mentally abused.”
Kaplan derives 88 percent of its revenues from federal funding.
The Clinton campaign did not return a request for comment.

I want to show what I believe caused so many people to make the choice to use unaccredited schools. Why, John Gray, why so many others, why...??
1-good advertising
2-state licensed and recognized
3-Expert opinion? said they were a good choice.
"Columbia Pacific is the largest university in the United States and one of the largest in the world offering non-resident Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorates. Despite the size, students report an extremely high level of personal attention from the faculty and staff. (The faculty numbers more than 200, nearly all with traditional Doctorates.) Two former presidents of major accredited universities serve as the two Deans of Columbia Pacific, and C.P.U.'s president, Richard Crews, is a prominent psychiatrist with his medical degree from Harvard.* Work for the degrees is based largely on credit for prior learning experiences, plus completion of an independent study project, demonstrating competency or creativity in one's field. Tuition is in the range of $2,000 to $3,000, with an extended payment plan possible. *The university has two campuses: a million dollar university urban campus in downtown San Rafael, and a 13-acre North Campus in northern Marion County with library, student housing, and other facilities.
Comment: No other non-resident, Doctorate- granting institution has a staff with the credentials, reputation, and experience of Columbia Pacific. Many major universities, including Harvard, Yale, and Princeton have expressed a willingness to accept C.P.U. degrees. I have had more positive, enthusiastic
feedback from C.P.U. students and alumni than from any other school, ACCREDITED or not. These people praise the very personal approach, the valuable learning experience, and the comparatively low costs."
*Some material left out because it did not add to the value of the description.
--John Bear--1982 Guide Book
Ok, we have low cost, based on life-experience/not too demanding, Properly licensed by the State of California, graduates accepted in graduate school by some very big name schools, faculty-impressive, large campus/school? maybe, largest college in the U.S.-again maybe but doubtful, students giving strong praise and support.
John Gray, or me, probably you, would have been very impressed by all this hype. I showed this description to a friend who doesn't have any knowledge of these things. He's college educated, smart, has common sense. He has never seen this stuff before. I asked him to read the guide book description of CPU and tell me what he thought of the school. I asked him to rate the school 0-10, with 0 being God awful and 10 being what Harvard would be jealous of. After reading it he said the school seemed to be a good one and he rated it, based on Bear's description as an 8.
Now this is the way I would expect most people to view the school, CPU, after reading such a glowing description. People were sold less than they paid for. They were told they would have a real degree that would do many things.
By the way the 1982 guide book doesn't mention that our guide was an owner, and, of course neither did the 1980 book. This is a serious flaw. People wanted this to be true and were told it was, and so they did believe. Are they crooks, fools, shills? No, just people who wanted college degrees and were taken advantage of. CPU was probably a mid-level quality school, no better.
Like used cars, we should all have asked more questions and not blindly followed the guide. He lost the trail didn't he??

The Truth about accreditation comes out in this discussion at DI: Long Term Future of DEAC.
lawrenceq Wrote:I don't think most people know the difference between NA and RA.
They are just figuring this out?
SteveFoerster Wrote:Quote:But would the regionals ever accept a national accreditor as their equal as a matter of policy?
They already do, in the sense that they're silent on the matter. Regional accreditors do not restrict the schools they accredit from accepting credentials from nationally accredited schools when it comes to transfer credit, enrollment in higher level programs, or hiring faculty.
Wow, talk about hypocrisy by admitting this and then pimping RA or it's worthless.
Neuhaus Wrote:The regional accreditors are taking flak for accrediting the schools seen as the biggest predators. RA accreditation was seen as lending credibility to the online schools that came into being in the past decade. But the unintended consequence is that so many of them have been accredited that it is beginning to reflect poorly upon the RAs.
The reality is they don't like RA accreditation when it comes from a for-profit school. DI members should just come out and admit they hate for-profit schools because they hate capitalism.
TEKMAN Wrote:DEAC definitely survives in the innovational higher education. Simply because most people do not know the differences among accreditation. I have encountered some people, they thought that National accreditation is better than Regional accreditation. Because National means bigger than Regional..
Ironically I told them this a month ago.
Neuhaus Wrote:All of the accreditors (national, regional and programmatic) derive their legitimacy from their recognition by the USDOE. The USDOE doesn't place them into a hierarchy. So, how exactly do we measure the notion of "better" in terms of accrediting agencies?
This is the argument they have no answer for and should be used repeatedly against anyone who preaches RA or nothing.
Neuhaus Wrote:Also, to highlight how little many HR professionals seem to know about accreditation, two or three respondents gave "No" responses to an RA accredited program.
I told them this too, nice to see it was confirmed by a survey. This is too funny though, how would you like to be someone who took their RA or nothing advice and then get shot down by an HR department because you thought it would be advantageous to mention your schools is RA on your resume?
Now will they be intellectually honest to new members seeking advice on this issue? I doubt it.

Note the important weasel words: "equivalent" of a BA, not an actual BA. That's Harvard for you. The author may be related to Howdy.
I hereby award myself the equivalent of a PhD because I took a MOOC once and I think that's pretty much the same thing. Please write a story about how I did it the new way.
Quote:Earning a bachelor's degree the new way
Year of online learning covered in Ed Portal talk
March 13, 2015 | Editor's Pick Popular
By Jennifer Doody, Harvard Correspondent
Jonathan Haber earned his bachelor's degree, in chemistry, from Wesleyan University in 1985. Nearly three decades later, he decided to earn another bachelor's, this one in philosophy.
He also resolved to complete his studies in just one year, entirely online, for free.
Haber documented those 12 months on the website Degree of Freedom, detailing his experience completing the equivalent of a bachelor's degree using Massive Open Online Courses, or MOOCs, and other forms of free learning. As the inaugural HarvardX Visiting Fellow, Haber recently spoke at the Harvard Ed Portal about what he had learned during his year of intense online study. Appropriately, in addition to nearly three-dozen Ed Portal visitors, more than 80 people watched the talk online.
"MOOCS are an experiment in teaching and learning, of what might happen if Harvard, MIT, and other universities all put their best courses online for the whole world, for free," Haber said. "There's an experimental nature to MOOCs and to the MOOC culture. It's a culture where classics professors are sitting down with video producers and computer programmers to turn out really quite remarkable courses."
One of the things he experienced was "a bit of academic culture shock," Haber said. "You've got courses that might once have been considered proprietary by a university, now considered a public good to be shared." Another discovery was the rise of "rock-star professors -- professors who love to teach, and who are becoming famous and well-known for teaching thousands of people."
Haber drew courses from an assortment of online learning sources. In his online postings, he showed work completed through sites such as edX, coursera, and Udacity.
From January to June, his "freshman and sophomore" months, Haber took courses such as "Think Again: How to Reason and Argue." From July through December, he advanced to "junior and senior" courses, such as "Mathematical Philosophy" and studying Kierkegaard. For his senior thesis, Haber wrote a book titled "MOOCS: The Essential Guide," published by MIT Press last year.
While Haber conceded that MOOCs have their problems -- including overcrowded discussion forums and questionable value in the marketplace -- he rejected the idea of online learning as "recreational education." To make his point, Haber asked his audience how they would feel if he suddenly gave them an exam from their college days, prompting a swell of nervous laughter.
"I always see head-shaking panic when I ask that," he said, "But does that mean you didn't get anything out of college? Does that mean you didn't learn anything? Of course not. So should college be judged as a set of courses -- or is college what you become at the end of the experience?"
In introducing Haber, the first HarvardX for Allston speaker for the semester, Robert Lue, faculty director of HarvardX and the Ed Portal, and professor of the practice of molecular and cellular biology, posed some challenging questions to the audience.
"What can we actually do with all the information that's available online nowadays? Can it make a difference?" he asked.
Lue said Haber "came to national prominence" when he began the Degree of Freedom project, and has continued exploring "questions of meaningful assessment of online abundance" during his HarvardX Visiting Fellowship.
Responding to Haber's remarks, audience member Joyce Antler said she was struck by the many opportunities and challenges MOOCs pose to students and universities.
"This was a sophisticated and interesting talk," she said. "It's impressive to realize how many people have participated in online learning. This was a terrific event, and I hope there are many more of them."

Quote:Leonard Nimoy, Spock of ‘Star Trek,’ Dies at 83
By VIRGINIA HEFFERNAN FEB. 27, 2015
![[Image: leonard-nimoy-obit-videoSixteenByNine1050-v2.jpg]](http://static01.nyt.com/images/2015/02/27/arts/leonard-nimoy-obit/leonard-nimoy-obit-videoSixteenByNine1050-v2.jpg)
Leonard Nimoy, best known for playing the character Spock in the Star Trek television shows and films, died at 83.
Leonard Nimoy, the sonorous, gaunt-faced actor who won a worshipful global following as Mr. Spock, the resolutely logical human-alien first officer of the Starship Enterprise in the television and movie juggernaut “Star Trek,” died on Friday morning at his home in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles. He was 83.
His wife, Susan Bay Nimoy, confirmed his death, saying the cause was end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Mr. Nimoy announced that he had the disease last year, attributing it to years of smoking, a habit he had given up three decades earlier. He had been hospitalized earlier in the week.
His artistic pursuits — poetry, photography and music in addition to acting — ranged far beyond the United Federation of Planets, but it was as Mr. Spock that Mr. Nimoy became a folk hero, bringing to life one of the most indelible characters of the last half century: a cerebral, unflappable, pointy-eared Vulcan with a signature salute and blessing: “Live long and prosper” (from the Vulcan “Dif-tor heh smusma”).
![[Image: nimoy-hand-sign-videoSixteenByNine540.jpg]](http://static01.nyt.com/images/2015/02/25/multimedia/nimoy-hand-sign/nimoy-hand-sign-videoSixteenByNine540.jpg)
As part of the Yiddish Book Center Wexler Oral History Project, Leonard Nimoy explains the origin of the Vulcan hand signal used by Spock, his character in the “Star Trek” series.
Mr. Nimoy, who was teaching Method acting at his own studio when he was cast in the original “Star Trek” television series in the mid-1960s, relished playing outsiders, and he developed what he later admitted was a mystical identification with Spock, the lone alien on the starship’s bridge.
Yet he also acknowledged ambivalence about being tethered to the character, expressing it most plainly in the titles of two autobiographies: “I Am Not Spock,” published in 1977, and “I Am Spock,” published in 1995.
In the first, he wrote, “In Spock, I finally found the best of both worlds: to be widely accepted in public approval and yet be able to continue to play the insulated alien through the Vulcan character.”
“Star Trek,” which had its premiere on NBC on Sept. 8, 1966, made Mr. Nimoy a star. Gene Roddenberry, the creator of the franchise, called him “the conscience of ‘Star Trek’ ” — an often earnest, sometimes campy show that employed the distant future (as well as some primitive special effects by today’s standards) to take on social issues of the 1960s.
His stardom would endure. Though the series was canceled after three seasons because of low ratings, a cultlike following — the conference-holding, costume-wearing Trekkies, or Trekkers (the designation Mr. Nimoy preferred) — coalesced soon after “Star Trek” went into syndication.
The fans’ devotion only deepened when “Star Trek” was spun off into an animated show, various new series and an uneven parade of movies starring much of the original television cast, including — besides Mr. Nimoy — William Shatner (as Capt. James T. Kirk), DeForest Kelley (Dr. McCoy), George Takei (the helmsman, Sulu), James Doohan (the chief engineer, Scott), Nichelle Nichols (the chief communications officer, Uhura) and Walter Koenig (the navigator, Chekov).
When the director J. J. Abrams revived the “Star Trek” film franchise in 2009, with an all-new cast — including Zachary Quinto as Spock — he included a cameo part for Mr. Nimoy, as an older version of the same character. Mr. Nimoy also appeared in the 2013 follow-up, “Star Trek Into Darkness.”
His zeal to entertain and enlighten reached beyond “Star Trek” and crossed genres. He had a starring role in the dramatic television series “Mission: Impossible” and frequently performed onstage, notably as Tevye in “Fiddler on the Roof.” His poetry was voluminous, and he published books of his photography.
He also directed movies, including two from the “Star Trek” franchise, and television shows. And he made records, singing pop songs as well as original songs about “Star Trek,” and gave spoken-word performances — to the delight of his fans and the bewilderment of critics.
But all that was subsidiary to Mr. Spock, the most complex member of the Enterprise crew, who was both one of the gang and a creature apart engaged at times in a lonely struggle with his warring racial halves.
In one of his most memorable “Star Trek” performances, Mr. Nimoy tried to follow in the tradition of two actors he admired, Charles Laughton and Boris Karloff, who each played a monstrous character — Quasimodo and the Frankenstein monster — who is transformed by love.
In Episode 24, which was first shown on March 2, 1967, Mr. Spock is indeed transformed. Under the influence of aphrodisiacal spores he discovers on the planet Omicron Ceti III, he lets free his human side and announces his love for Leila Kalomi (Jill Ireland), a woman he had once known on Earth. In this episode, Mr. Nimoy brought to Spock’s metamorphosis not only warmth, compassion and playfulness, but also a rarefied concept of alienation.
“I am what I am, Leila,” Mr. Spock declares after the spores’ effect has worn off and his emotions are again in check. “And if there are self-made purgatories, then we all have to live in them. Mine can be no worse than someone else’s.”
Born in Boston on March 26, 1931, Leonard Simon Nimoy was the second son of Max and Dora Nimoy, Ukrainian immigrants and Orthodox Jews. His father worked as a barber.
From the age of 8, Leonard acted in local productions, winning parts at a community college, where he performed through his high school years. In 1949, after taking a summer course at Boston College, he traveled to Hollywood, though it wasn’t until 1951 that he landed small parts in two movies, “Queen for a Day” and “Rhubarb.”

He continued to be cast in little-known movies, although he did presciently play an alien invader in a cult serial called “Zombies of the Stratosphere,” and in 1961 he had a minor role on an episode of “The Twilight Zone.” His first starring movie role came in 1952 with “Kid Monk Baroni,” in which he played a disfigured Italian street-gang leader who becomes a boxer.
Mr. Nimoy served in the Army for two years, rising to sergeant and spending 18 months at Fort McPherson in Georgia, where he presided over shows for the Army’s Special Services branch. He also directed and starred as Stanley in the Atlanta Theater Guild’s production of “A Streetcar Named Desire” before receiving his final discharge in November 1955.
He then returned to California, where he worked as a soda jerk, movie usher and cabdriver while studying acting at the Pasadena Playhouse. He achieved wide visibility in the late 1950s and early 1960s on television shows like “Wagon Train,” “Rawhide” and “Perry Mason.” Then came “Star Trek.”
Mr. Nimoy returned to college in his 40s and earned a master’s degree in Spanish from Antioch University Austin, an affiliate of Antioch College in Ohio, in 1978. Antioch University later awarded Mr. Nimoy an honorary doctorate.
Mr. Nimoy directed two of the Star Trek movies, “Star Trek III: The Search for Spock” (1984) and “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home” (1986), which he helped write. In 1991, the same year that he resurrected Mr. Spock on two episodes of “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” Mr. Nimoy was also the executive producer and a writer of the movie “Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.”
He then directed the hugely successful comedy “Three Men and a Baby” (1987), a far cry from his science-fiction work, and appeared in made-for-television movies. He received an Emmy nomination for the 1982 movie “A Woman Called Golda,” in which he portrayed the husband of Golda Meir, the prime minister of Israel, who was played by Ingrid Bergman. It was the fourth Emmy nomination of his career — the other three were for his “Star Trek” work — although he never won.
Mr. Nimoy’s marriage to the actress Sandi Zober ended in divorce. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Adam and Julie Nimoy; a stepson, Aaron Bay Schuck; and six grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and an older brother, Melvin.
Though his speaking voice was among his chief assets as an actor, the critical consensus was that his music was mortifying. Mr. Nimoy, however, was undaunted, and his fans seemed to enjoy the camp of his covers of songs like “If I Had a Hammer.” (His first album was called “Leonard Nimoy Presents Mr. Spock’s Music From Outer Space.”)
From 1977 to 1982, Mr. Nimoy hosted the syndicated series “In Search Of...,” which explored mysteries like the Loch Ness Monster and UFOs. He also narrated “Ancient Mysteries” on the History Channel from 1995 to 2003 and appeared in commercials, including two with Mr. Shatner for Priceline.com. He provided the voice for animated characters in “Transformers: The Movie,” in 1986, and “The Pagemaster,” in 1994.
In 2001 he voiced the king of Atlantis in the Disney animated movie “Atlantis: The Lost Empire,” and in 2005 he furnished voice-overs for the computer game Civilization IV. More recently, he had a recurring role on the science-fiction series “Fringe” and was heard, as the voice of Spock, in an episode of the hit sitcom “The Big Bang Theory.”
Mr. Nimoy was an active supporter of the arts as well. The Thalia, a venerable movie theater on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, now a multi-use hall that is part of Symphony Space, was renamed the Leonard Nimoy Thalia in 2002.
He also found his voice as a writer. Besides his autobiographies, he published “A Lifetime of Love: Poems on the Passages of Life” in 2002. Typical of Mr. Nimoy’s simple free verse are these lines: “In my heart/Is the seed of the tree/Which will be me.”
In later years, he rediscovered his Jewish heritage, and in 1991 he produced and starred in “Never Forget,” a
television movie based on the story of a Holocaust survivor who sued a neo-Nazi organization of Holocaust deniers.
In 2002, having illustrated his books of poetry with his photographs, Mr. Nimoy published “Shekhina,” a book devoted to photography with a Jewish theme, that of the feminine aspect of God. His black-and-white photographs of nude and seminude women struck some Orthodox Jewish leaders as heretical, but Mr. Nimoy asserted that his work was consistent with the teaching of the kabbalah.
His religious upbringing also influenced the characterization of Spock. The character’s split-fingered salute, he often explained, had been his idea: He based it on the kohanic blessing, a manual approximation of the Hebrew letter shin, which is the first letter in Shaddai, one of the Hebrew names for God.
“To this day, I sense Vulcan speech patterns, Vulcan social attitudes and even Vulcan patterns of logic and emotional suppression in my behavior,” Mr. Nimoy wrote years after the original series ended.
But that wasn’t such a bad thing, he discovered. “Given the choice,” he wrote, “if I had to be someone else, I would be Spock.”

Lucas Hoepfl, a.k.a. Lucas Joseph Gollin-Hoepfl, the son of the sister of disgraced stalker George Gollin, appears to be giving away more than a few hints about his sexual orientation--or should we say disorientation?
Given that George Gollin's daughter Chlamydia Loots-Gollin has been out of the closet for many years as a self-proclaimed "Radical Lesbian Cheerleader" as well as a lustfully active member of the "Gay Straight Alliance," it should be no surprise that depravity seems to run in the genes of all the Gollin offspring.

It's a village in Poland. Yeah, right.
In case the "Brony" shirt didn't give it away completely, the latest posts at his Facebook page seem to underline the point. He signed the petition to "Protect LGBT Youth from Conversion Efforts." Since selfish, self-serving self-interest is always the primary Gollin motivation, it seems pretty clear why he did that.

And look who was invited to join the "Greater Dayton GLSEN Student Committee."

Is Lucas Hoepfl really a pole smoker, or just planning a run for Congress like dear old Uncle George? Happy fisting, Gollin pervs!
