Posted by: d06turf - 03-18-2011, 07:12 PM - Forum: Beware: APUS/AMU - Replies (8)

Fuck you VALERIE DAVIS, illiterate piece of shit. AMU is going to fire your stupid incompetent ass.

APU/AMU students, if you made the mistake of enrolling in a class "taught" by the moronic turd VALERIE DAVIS, immediately withdraw or you will be sorry. She is a complete fucking idiot who can barely write English and who has to copy her course materials from others because she is too fucking stupid to think up her own. Be warned.

  TNARS Seminary new site

The North American Reformed Seminary has a new site.

This is a free seminary.
For full disclosure, i am the current president.

It's getting some bad press over on degreediscussion.com even though we have gained quite a respectable reputation over the past few years.

Hello everyone,

first of all congratulations for this forum with all these useful information concerning DL programs.

Recently I found the Fitzwilliam Institute (Ireland) and I'd like to know if you have any information about the value of their diplomas. I'm interested in Post Graduate Diploma in Oracle DB development (also in Java).

The URL is the following: http://www.fitzwilliaminstitute.ie

Sincerely,
Picolo

ps: sorry for this thread that I have already posted to the dd

Toungue Ominous warning from Jack to DLT
Posted by: Little Arminius - 03-08-2011, 09:43 PM - Forum: Distance Learning Discussion - Replies (7)

Do Jack Tracey, George Gollin (George D. Gollin, George Gollinsky, Gollum) or any of the other idiots actually read the linked articles in their entirety before making comments about how it may affect DLTruth? I fail to see any parallels between the two cases cited, one involving a private citizen who was libeled on Topix.com and suffered damages while the second involves a forum operated by several newspapers that claimed protection by the Indiana journaism shield law, and the commentary provided at DL Truth, much of it political and/or satirical in nature.

DegreeDiscussion link

Of course none of these tools was the least bit bothered when some "new poster" (yeah, sure it was a newbie) incorrectly identified a private citizen without any involvement in DL as "Little Arminius." Fortunately the DD administrator, Gus Sainz, recognizing a libelous post when he saw one, removed the post lo más pronto posible, minimizing the damage caused to the private citizen. George Gollin, a public figure largely as a result of his incessant self-promotion, and that old fool John Bear, another public figure by virtue of his books and leadership in the DL field, said not a word.

So before Jack, George and the others start trumpeting the end of DL Truth, maybe they should ask their pal Nosborne to explain the basics of defamation of character lawsuits?

Northwestern University Professor Defends Explicit Sex Toy Demonstration After Class

How come I never had classes at my school like this?

I guess this is one of the perks of going to a Regionally Accredited University like Northwestern.

  G. Brown and P. French are back posting
Posted by: Geoff Vankirk - 03-05-2011, 07:30 AM - Forum: Nominees, second-stringers, others - Replies (3)

What is the deal with these two? Do they have any real credibility in the DL field? I have seen Brown described as the "John Bear of Australia" but I'm not sure that was intended as a compliment. French was supposedly an Australian university lecturer which sounds like he was some type of non-tenured staff member. They seem to roll in and out of the DL forum scene in tandem. That would usually indicate one person with multiple screen IDs but in their case these are two separate individuals. I've seen a picture of the balding Brown. Are there any photos of French?

  WNU/KWU Transcript Update
Posted by: Virtual Bison - 03-03-2011, 01:23 PM - Forum: Unaccredited vs. State-Approved vs. Accredited - No Replies

This is an unverified report. I hope to get accurate data as it arrives.

Update on Transcripts: Transcripts are frozen until the lawsuit has been either passed through the grand jury process or thrown out of the courts.

Appearantly, the reason WNU Students cannot get our transcrits have to do with legality.

Again this is only second hand. If someone else can verify this than please do so.

  John Bear actually recommended Kennedy-Western?
Posted by: Virtual Bison - 03-02-2011, 09:15 AM - Forum: John Bear - Replies (57)

http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/distance-le...27060.html

This is an old thread and I stumbled on it through a google search.
Check out the post by dwaterman1334.

This post was made by someone who is a member of this board, and referred to another thread here. Anyway thank you dwaterman for this interesting tibit.

Quote:You might be surprised to know that Kennedy-Western wasn't always a "degree mill." I chose to study there because of what John Bear had to say about the school in his book:

College Degrees by Mail-100 Good Schools that offer Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorates and Law Degrees by Home Study
By John Bear, Ph.D. -1995

I think Dr. Bear may have changed his mind some time around 1999-2000; by that time Kennedy-Western had been in business since the 1980's and had graduated over 23,000 students.

Do an experiment and search for Kennedy-Western + PhD. You might be surprised at the number of current college professors who are Kennedy-Western alumni...

  Gollin Now Engineering Expert Too
Posted by: Dickie Billericay - 03-01-2011, 08:15 PM - Forum: George Gollin - Replies (6)

Hey kids, want to be an engineer when you grow up?

No, not that kind. The one that builds bridges and stuff.

Well if you are going to the University of Illinois the guy to talk to is the world’s foremost self-appointed expert in higher education accreditation, stalker George Gollin (George D. Gollin, George Dana Gollin).

WTF? What kind of advice can an engineering major get from a guy who co-teaches freshman fine arts classes? Let's see...

George Gollin Wrote:"Degrees from regionally accredited schools will always be accepted everywhere."
http://www.militaryfriendlyschools.com/A...s-regional

Always? Everywhere? You mean like the way UCLA grad school '"always" accepts those prior learning, test out TESC, COSC and Excelsior RA degrees??

Quote:The general requirement for admission for a U.S. student is a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, comparable in standard and content to a bachelor's degree from the University of California. A scholastic average of B (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) or better is required--or its equivalent if the letter grade system is not used--for the last 60 semester units or last 90 quarter units of undergraduate study and in any post-baccalaureate study.

Degrees which are not considered comparable include those granted on the basis of work completed at institutions which are not fully accredited and those granted on the basis of nonacademic prior learning, test scores, or other than organized supervised coursework in academic subjects.
http://www.gdnet.ucla.edu/gasaa/admissions/CRITERIA.HTM

Oooooops, the "expert" misses another one. Just the kind of guy you want advising engineers. "This bridge always stands up everywhere." Except when it collapses into a pile of twisted wreckage. Sounds like Gollum is well on his way to fucking up in yet another discipline. Definitely stay off bridges and away from tall buildings engineered by Gollum's students.

Coming soon to an interstate near you! Gollum does for engineering what he has done for higher education accreditation:

Question a new Khomeini on the horizon?
Posted by: ham - 02-28-2011, 06:40 PM - Forum: General Education Discussions - Replies (3)

With the usual suspects intent to shuffle the deck of cards in several Arab countries, including former "paradises", I wonder whether history won't repeat itself and give them a Castro, a Amin or a Khomeini instead of the corrupt, Karzai-like Quislings that they intend to put at the top of their seasonal "spontaneous orange revolution of freedom". RolleyesBig Grin

Button pushers thought the same about Batista and Shah Pahlavi: time for a breath of fresh air and some neo-colonialism. The new faces, the pundits of freedom screaming to the masses how they are the "last of the honest men" are as corrupt and stuffed with foreign money as the old...just easier to manipulate...or so they thought...Khomeini...a poor aging priest who had been persecuted by the Shah guilty of millions of deaths...of which his western buddies knew nothing until then, of course...

Khomeini might have wanted women to wear a scuba dive suit, but at least he wouldn't try to up the ante of oil royalties like the shah...it turned out the master plan didn't come together as expected, eh?

Castro was much of the same: he may want to revolutionize the social structure in Cuba, but who cares as long as we master puppeteers retain overall control...yeah, right.
