  First Supreme Lesbo
Posted by: Armando Ramos - 05-10-2010, 06:03 PM - Forum: General Education Discussions - Replies (23)

Talk about your jew jokes.  Dear Leader is nominating a lesbo to the Supreme Court.

Well, where it puts its tongue is its business, but even worse than that, yes, you guessed it....Harvard AND Princeton.  As we have seen, the Dumbass Factory has presented us with some of the biggest moral reprobates in distance learning, so one can only imagine what kind of havoc this dunce could wreak on the nation from the Supreme Court.

Elena Kagan: Definitely out of the closet

Elena Kagan Gay Rumor: White House Upset Over CBS News Blog

Quote:The Obama administration charged CBS News with being out of line Thursday for suggesting that possible Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan is out of the closet. She isn't, according to a White House official, suggesting that a rumor campaign was being waged to trip up a potential Court candidacy.

In a post for CBS written by Ben Domenech, who is also editor of The New Ledger, Kagan is described as President Barack Obama's most likely choice. She's also described as potentially the "first openly gay justice."

Domenech later added an addendum stating, "I have to correct my text here to say that Kagan is apparently still closeted -- odd, because her female partner is rather well known in Harvard circles."

Then CBSNews.com added an editor's note confirming, "A White House spokesperson said that Domenech's reference to Ms. Kagan as gay is innaccurate."

The Washington Post reports:

CBS initially refused to pull the posting, prompting Anita Dunn, a former White House communications director who is working with the administration on the high court vacancy, to say: "The fact that they've chosen to become enablers of people posting lies on their site tells us where the journalistic standards of CBS are in 2010." She said the network was giving a platform to a blogger "with a history of plagiarism" who was "applying old stereotypes to single women with successful careers."

Domenech has since issued a public apology to Kagen "if she is offended at all by my repetition of a Harvard rumor in a speculative blog post."

The Post also points out that, "Most major news organizations have policies against 'outing' gays or reporting on the sex lives of public officials unless they are related to their public duties."

No such policies like that here.  Perverts rejoice, all hail the supreme carpetmuncher!

Quote:Lesbian Elena Kagan Will Be Nominated by Obama; Gayest SCOTUS Evah!
Tonight, I’m reaping the Google traffic bonanza from ”How Gay Is Elena Kagan?” (Short answer: Gayer than Rosie O’Donnell guest-hosting the Ellen DeGeneres show.) Now everybody’s Googling for America’s most famous stealth lesbian:

Quote:Kagan, 50, served as the Dean of Harvard Law Lesbian School from 2003 to 2009. Obama nominated her to serve in her current post as solicitor general early in 2009, and she won Senate confirmation by a vote of 61-31. She is the first woman lesbian to serve as solicitor general of the United States. . . .
Some liberal critics have said that Kagan’s views on executive power and the treatment of terrorist detainees are too conservative lesbian . . .

Obviously, some editing was required there. Does anyone care what I think of Elena Kagan’s judicial philosophy? No, but they’ll scour every corner of the Internet for “Elena Kagan lesbian” or “Elena Kagan gay,” and it’s been months since I’ve had a Google-bomb winner like that. (If you’re looking for “Elena Kagan nude” or “Elena Kagan sex video,” you’re pathetic and disgusting, but traffic is traffic.)

For some reason, while conservatives are mostly indifferent toward Kagan’s gayness, the Obama administration has acted as if it were a huge scandal, as conservative lesbian Cynthia Yockey explains:

Quote:Well, thank Gaia gays and lesbians can count on the left — the gay-lovin’, gay rights supportin’ left — to have their backs. So how are they taking the news? KA. FREAKING. BOOM! SHAME-A-PALOOZA! The White House announced that Kagan is straight and it is all Bush’s fault if anyone says otherwise. HuffPo has declared war on the “Republican whispering campaign.” Human Rights Campaign is decrying discussion of Kagan’s sexual orientation as being “straight out of the right-wing playbook.” . . .
Lesbians and gays are outnumbered on the left by other demographic groups that hate us and want us dead. . . . I believe it is these leftist anti-gay identity groups who are working hard to shift blame for a “whispering campaign” onto conservatives and Republicans.

The purpose of the Kagan “whispering campaign” blame game is the same as the Tea Party “racism” smears: To convince Americans (gay, straight, black, white, whatever) that conservatives are dangerous, irrational bigots. As it becomes starkly apparent that Democrats are incompetent to cope with the nation’s economic and national-security problems, the Left has increasingly resorted to defamation and demonization of their political opponents. It’s the only argument they’ve got.

Beyond that, if you want serious discussion of the Elena Kagan nomination, try Legal Insurrection, Michelle Malkin, Tammy Bruce, Weasel Zippers or The Lonely Conservative. Legal analysis isn’t my specialty. I’m just a blogger trying to make a buck.

ELENA KAGAN IS TOTALLY GAY!
Don’t hate me for being a capitalist.

  Factwatcher--Nine Years After

It was 2001 that an illustrious poster using the handle "Factwatcher" began a challenge to Klempner and his klones so effective that it still resonates in the aging self-promoter's failing memory nine years later:

It was "Factwatcher" and similar posters that drove the klones off public AED and forced them to create their perverted degreeinfo dungeon--so they could avoid challenges to their falsehoods, narrow-minded dogma and self-bestowed "expertise."  Little did they know that they had jumped out of the fire and into the gay boy pornography frying pan.

Let's take a little trip down memory lane, shall we?

Hello John,

Since you have decided not to answer my question as part of a thread, perhaps you would like to answer this as a separate issue?

I have had an interesting time researching you today. All is not as you would like people to believe, is it?

Having had cause to question your competence and honesty regarding comments you stated as “fact”, which have subsequently turned out to be demonstrably untrue, I have come across this little gem which I have reproduced here from ‘Accredited College Degrees by Correspondence’ (Library of Congress Catalog card Number 93-4226, ISBN 1-884552-151-X )

Greenwich University

‘Beware this school. We believe it to be more insidious than a degree mill. They keep themselves borderline legal, but are known to be grossly deceptive. The owner of the school, Dr John Bear (not an M.D.) publishes a guide to non-traditional colleges that fraudulently list his newly started school as one of the top three percent of all such colleges in the country. Meanwhile, last year’s version of his own guide did not even acknowledge the existence of his fake ‘top school.’

Our research has discovered that Greenwich is really a newly-formed mom-and-pop operation running in Hawaii. The school is not approved or accredited by any organization, including the Department of Education in Hawaii, and is essentially operating with only a $15 Hawaiian business license.

By listing his own school as one of the best in his guide, Dr Bear confirms suspicions that his phoney guide to non-traditional schools is really a cleverly disguised brochure to sell admissions to his newly-created school. Along with deceiving readers into thinking that his guide is legitimate, credible list of carefully researched schools, Bear’s guide also viciously discredits a number of fine schools which compete with his Greenwich school.

By adopting these tactics, the management of Greenwich proves itself to be unethical and disreputable. Save your money and look for a more legitimate school.’

I have reproduced this WITHOUT seeking the permission of the author (although I doubt he will mind). Which brings me to a point. I have noticed on this forum that you and your ‘associates’ frequently cut and paste information from copyrighted websites. Have you sought permission to do so or are you guilty of copyright infringement?

Dr Bear, is the report about your involvement with Greenwich University true, either as yourself or as an alias?

Dr Bear, if it is not true, have you sued for defamation of character or libel?

Dr Bear, if you have not sued the author of this published work, why not?

Son,

I suggest you take a moment to review some of your latest postings because honestly, you are coming across as a raving lunatic!

Why are you so concerned about who I am and not what I have to say!!!!!

Are you cruising for a date or something. Sorry friend, I am as staright as they come!

Meanwhile, far from fearing Dr John Bear, I am publicly challenging him to answer simple questions concerning his UNTRUTHFUL COMMENTS to this message board.

As a message board user are you not concerned that this man has been caught out, not in one LIE but apparently SEVERAL LIES.

Here are my questions.

Dr John Bear, how do you explain that on this message board you have peddled demonstrably UNTRUE statements as FACTS to your CERTAIN KNOWLEDGE?

Dr John Bear, what was your involvement with Greenwich University and the Institute for Advanced Studies?

Dr John Bear, please explain the chronology of your involvement with Greenwich University and the Institute for Advanced Studies relevant to their inclusion in your Bear’s Guide?

Dr John Bear, assuming that the allegations are true, did you post a prominent warning to your readers that the information you were giving may not have been unbiased because you were actually involved in the management of these institutions?

Dr John Bear, did you declare a conflict of interests ANYWHERE in ANY of your Bear’s Guide?

Dr John Bear, why have you declined to respond publicly to these questions about your honesty and truthfulness in a sphere in which you are considered an expert?

Dr John Bear, is your ISP down, as has been reported by some of your supporters in this message board? If so, can you please let me know which ISP you use, so that I can verify this statement?

Dr John Bear, assuming your ISP is down, how have you been sending and receiving e-mails?

Dr John Bear, is there NO way that you can gain access to the internet (a friend, colleague, family member or Cyber Café in your area) so that you can respond in this forum?

Dr John Bear, why is it that every time I post to this message board, I am attacked by users who don’t seem to care whether or not you are telling the truth?

Dr John Bear, have you (or anyone working for you) been giving your own books on amazon.com favourable reviews?

Dr John Bear,

How many times do I have to make it clear to you that I have NO INTEREST in whether or not you have or are a degree mill operator. Intill one week ago I had no idea who you were or even what a degree- mill was!

My beef with you is that you have blatently LID to this forum and for some reason NOBODY SEEMS TO CARE!

By your twisted logic there are only two types of people. Those who treat every word you say or print is THE GOSPEL TRUTH while anyone who has reason to contradict you is automatically a degree mill owner.

This is as illogical as saying that anyone who remains alert for Civil Liberties violations by the police is automatically a criminal.

IT JUST IS NOT SO!

When I was confronted by a storm of vicious attacks by your supporters ebcause I corrected what I believed to be a mistake on your part, I looked into you further and found compelling evidence that you are a dishonest man, peddling your lies as facts upon which people are making life decisions.

I could not, in good conscience, allow you to continue to use this forum as a shameless promotion venue for your discredited books.

My reaction would have been the same if you had been dispensing advice on anything else: cars, immigration, food supplements, dog-breeding or whatever.

You lied to this forum and NOBODY CARES!

SOMEBODY HAS TO CARE!!!!!

This is the story of Dr Bear
Promotes degrees here, promotes degrees there.
“I will write a book” he said, hands in the air
“To publicize my scams to those not beware”.

“Good idea pop” says Mariah,
her hands raised even higher
“well write bad stories about other institutes
and you can spend the cash on prostitutes”

“No Mariah”, he said rubbing his hands together
“I have an idea I think will last forever”.
I can open degree mill after degree mill after degree mill
and sell to idiots who believe my pig’s swill

“When official complaints come rolling in
I´ll deny my involvement and jack it in.
That will keep me from going to jail
My former associates can stay to get nailed”.

Years went on an Dr Bear was sitting pretty
Creating false accusations and being rather shitty
But then one night a Factwatcher came his way,
“You’ve lied Dr Bear and I’ll prove it some day”.

“Oh go away you horrible troll”,
Snaps a John Bear crony like a bull in a mall,
“Dr Bear is legit, so take a hike you interfering git”
“No”, says Factwatcher “until I have the truth I will never quit”.

“But you are destroying our scam business” they cried
“Please leave the forum our money has dried”
“No, never. I will expose Dr Bear as a fraud”
and disgruntled students cheered and applaud.

“I challenge Dr Bear” said Factwatcher
“You’ve lied, you’re a fraud and now I´ve gotcha”
“Answer the questions or I´ll remain
To uncover your scams and bring you great shame”.

“No, Factwatcher, I cannot,
my reputation is already tattered and shot”
“I will do what I always do, what is best for me,
I´ll make my excuses and then I´ll flee”

That was the story of Dr Bear
He Promoted degrees here, he promoted degrees there.

So let's see if I have this right.

If you get a degree for no or not very much work it's a "diploma mill."

But if you get a degree by buying your homework assignments it's called "RA Gold Standard"?

The difference seems to be that with the latter you have a middle man or three making a profit, while with the former it's just the vendor.

So if the "diploma mill" began splitting the take with a regional accreditation agency, a few politicians and a cheap homework service would they cease to be a diploma mill?

Quote:Questionable online homework resource raises in popularity at SU
By Dara McBride

Staff Writer

| Published: Wednesday, April 28, 2010

Updated: Wednesday, April 28, 2010

When college student Adam Richman found himself and his peers overwhelmed with work, he turned to entrepreneurship for help.

Richman helped create a site, cheaphomework.com, that provides a staff to complete a student's homework in exchange for money. [Regionally accredited] Syracuse University ranked as one of the top three users, Richman said.

"We just heard a lot of people complain that they didn't want to do their homework anymore, that they'd prefer to go out, enjoy their night," Richman said. "We always saw on people's Facebook statuses, 'Hey, I'd pay someone $20 to do my math homework,' 'I'd really like to go out tonight, does anyone know someone who could write me an essay?' And we thought we should probably capitalize on this."

Richman named [regionally accredited] Arizona State University, [regionally accredited] University of Central Florida and the [regionally accredited] University of Massachusetts as other big users.

More than 500 assignments have been completed since the site began about a month ago, and between 50 and 100 of those are from SU, said Richman, a college student at an undisclosed university. He said he does not know how the site became so popular among SU students.

The site operates with a staff of about 10 college-educated people, mostly graduate students, located throughout the United States, Richman said.

"They're located all over the United States, so if an assignment comes in at 3 a.m., we have someone on the West Coast that can complete it, we have someone on the East Coast who can complete the assignments during the day," Richman said. "The person who does our math just graduated from Stanford."

Richman reviews every assignment for quality and neatness, spending five to 10 minutes checking that it matches the student's requirements.

"We do everything from papers to all questions on quizzes to essays and book reports to science projects to math homework," Richman said.

There's no set price per assignment, but factors like the length, amount of research and time affect the costs. Students include an estimate of how much they'd like to pay, but they can't use a school e-mail address for privacy reasons.

Richman uses the service himself and said it was nice to know he is not the only student overwhelmed with work. He said he recognized the site was morally wrong, but without federal laws forbidding plagiarism, Richman saw nothing wrong with operating the business.

"I don't really see how there are no state or federal laws that relate back to doing someone's homework," Richman said. "Obviously, there are going to be professors that aren't too happy about it. What we're doing is morally wrong, but I donÕt think there is anything illegal about it."

Richman described the company as a tutoring service and said it is up to the student to decide how to use the service. A disclaimer on the website states the business is a tutoring service and students decide how to use it within the guidelines of their high school, college or university.

SU's Academic Integrity Policy considers papers downloaded from the Internet or obtained from a paper mill to be plagiarism. Richman recognized students would likely get in trouble for using the site but did not consider the business to be a particularly bad moral offense in the long run.

"There are a lot of things that are morally wrong, but if you're an entrepreneur and you run a company, money comes first, I guess," Richman said.

Gary Pavela, director of SU's Office of Academic Integrity, said that the university has been encouraging faculty members to discuss and respond to homework in class in an effort to curb plagiarizing.

"We are reminding students that solid research shows that those who fail to do their own home or lab work are significantly disadvantaged in subsequent examinations, including national examinations for graduate and professional schools," Pavela said. "Using these services isn't only unethical - it's stupid. A waste of hard-earned tuition money."

Pavela said the number of students using the site might be questionable, given the source.

"Promoting honesty doesn't seem to be their highest priority," Pavela said.

Students should be careful of the decisions they make regarding academics because of potential issues later in life, Pavela said. He called attention to the advertising slogan the site uses: "Party now and pay later."

"More than ever, in this economy, students need to know what their transcript says they know. Prospective employers are screening with extraordinary care," Pavela said.

Ben Bradley, professor of ethics at SU, said he has encountered several issues with plagiarism in the past, all of which originated from online sources. One semester, Bradley found four to five papers out of 20 that were plagiarized, he said. After noticing a change in a student's writing style, Bradley said, he would look on Google for the original source.

"There's lots of stuff that's morally wrong that's not legally wrong, such as just lying to people," Bradley said. "But you shouldn't do it."

In response to problems, Bradley said he has assigned fewer papers and relied on in-class exams. He said it was a shame he could not allow students the extra time to learn how to write a paper. Ultimately, Bradley said the issue was with students, not the operators of online sites.

"Should we do anything about this guy who is doing people's homework for them and getting them to pay him? I guess I don't really view our beef as being with him so much as with our students," Bradley said.

Shakira Smith, a freshman information management and technology major, said she uses the online study resource StudyBlue, an operation that pays students for uploading notes from classes. She said she has been using the site for the past semester and that it helps her study and interact with other students in her class.

Smith said she did not previously consider StudyBlue to be unethical but could see how allowing access to students too lazy to go to class might be considered wrong. She said stress to complete assignments drives students to plagiarize.

"Students become so stressed and are afraid of receiving low marks, so they are convinced that they have to buy work off of others," Smith said.

Itthiphol Suratsombat, a junior psychology major, also uses StudyBlue. Suratsombat said he has used the site for the past school year to get notes from missed classes and considers the practice ethical.

"I think it's ethical because you're not copying someone's assignment. It's OK to share notes. Professors actually tell you that you should get notes from your friends if you don't make it to class, and this is what StudyBlue is used for, to get notes," Suratsombat said.

But Suratsombat said using a site like CheapHomework was unethical. Although he knows someone who has bought a paper online, he said it was not worth it.

"People that do that are lazy and unmotivated to do their own work," Suratsombat said. "When you're not doing your own work, you put yourself and your integrity at risk, but some people think they can get away with it so they do it."

  Christie signs 'diploma mill law'
Posted by: Armando Ramos - 05-08-2010, 08:16 PM - Forum: Unaccredited vs. State-Approved vs. Accredited - Replies (6)

Who cares what degrees the paper shufflers on the high school district have?

If they have a degree, why do they deserve a raise at taxpayer expense?  If they want a degree, let them pay for it themselves.

Stop giving away taxpayer money to pols who are just padding their resumes and what do you bet the number of bureaucrats with bogus degrees drops to zero?   But then, it's not really about bogus degrees, is it.  It's about restricting competition and providing revenue sources to the higher ed cartel.

Freehold Regional staff's degrees spurred restrictions on raises
By LARRY HIGGS • STAFF WRITER • May 7, 2010

TRENTON — A bill signed into law by Gov. Chris Christie Thursday will prohibit school employees from profiting from degrees obtained from mail-order or unaccredited colleges.

The legislation, known as the diploma mill law, was inspired by the 2008 discovery that Freehold Regional High School District superintendent, H. James Wasser, and several current and former staff members received doctoral degrees from the online, unaccredited Breyer State University.

"This bill requires that our public school employees attend only accredited institutions if they wish to receive tuition assistance," state Sen. Jennifer Beck, R-Monmouth, said in a prepared statement. "Additional education should be rewarded, and this law ensures that those rewards only go to individuals attending accredited institutions, not some Internet-based diploma mill."

The state concluded in early September 2008 that Wasser, Assistant Superintendent Donna Evangelista and a former assistant superintendent must stop using their doctoral titles or face fines, which they complied with. Wasser relinquished his stipend and later apologized to the district.

The law requires several conditions be met for educators to receive tuition assistance and receive pay increases for higher degrees or other academic course work. The course or degree has to be related to an employees current or future job responsibilities and the institution must be accredited.

The law also requires either the superintendent of schools or, in the case of a superintendent, the Board of Education approve course work for which they're are seeking tuition assistance from the district.

"The cost of education is high enough in New Jersey, and there is far too much waste. I am personally very pleased that the governor has taken the correct action to turn off this particular leaky faucet," Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande, R-Monmouth, said in a prepared statement. "Our public school systems must be protected."

Wasser retires in June, ending 23 years in the district. He currently earns $215,000 a year in addition to benefits such as medical insurance and a vehicle.

OR Schools Cut To 4-Day Week
Posted by: Winston Smith - 05-07-2010, 01:35 PM - Forum: Alan Contreras - Replies (3)

Budget cuts are forcing Oregon government schools to consider cutting their school week to four days.  Just what cash-strapped Oregon didn't need was a potential $120 million federal lawsuit.

But thanks to adjudicated anti-Christian bigot and civil rights violator Alan Contreras of the Oregon Office of Degree Authorization, the state finds itself in further financial peril for its alleged role in a Liberian shakedown scheme.

Does it really make sense to Oregon taxpayers to foot the bill for this pervert's Christian-bashing while their kids' educations suffer?  Instead of letting the school district get away with this bogus "Washington Monument Strategy," shouldn't Oregon taxpayers be demanding the firing of the loser pervert Contreras and abolition of his anti-Christian office?

Quote:Klamath Falls may try 4-day school week to save money
Klamath County School officials are considering cutting the school week to four days in an effort that would save the district $6.3 million.

By The Associated Press

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Klamath County School officials are considering cutting the school week to four days to save the district $6.3 million annually.

The Herald and News reported that the shortened week is one of many money-saving measures school officials are considering.

District Superintendent Greg Thede says that a $5.8 million cut to his $60 million budget and nearly 20 layoffs last year prompted the district to form a committee to study the option of cutting Fridays from the school week.

He says that school days Monday through Thursday would be longer to meet state hourly requirements.

"I think we've seen all over the state, programs getting cut, class sizes going up, employee groups having to make concessions," Thede said. "These times we're going through right now are unprecedented. It's tough."

But there are concerns from the Klamath Falls Association of Classified Employees, the union that represents classified staff, such as teaching assistants, cooks, custodians, secretaries and bus drivers.

Union President Linda Braden says one less day in the week will mean a day less of work for 380 classified staff.

Still, Thede said the district will move forward with a shortened school week if it would save a significant amount of money.

Linda Kehr, a teacher at Ferguson Elementary School and member of the four-day week committee, said teacher workload wouldn't be dramatically affected, adding that teachers would use Friday to attend mandated teacher-training sessions.

  Gollin Hiding UIUC Connection?
Posted by: Winston Smith - 05-07-2010, 10:42 AM - Forum: George Gollin - Replies (1)

Now that he has brought down a potential $120 million federal lawsuit on his employer, is George Gollin (George D. Gollin, George Dana Gollin) downplaying his connection to the U. of I.?

Or as our esteemed colleague Little Arminius might have phrased it, tension between Gollin and UIUC?

Here’s a news story about a guy who got aced out for a soft government job by a loser named Rufus Walden with a Rochville “degree.”  The guy did the ten seconds worth of internet research to determine that Rochville has no academic credibility, but apparently the government dimwits doing the hiring did not.

So far so good, but then the guy had to go try to find an “expert,”  and when he couldn’t find one he settled for dumbass butt-scratcher Gollin.  Notice how the article describes him, not as usually occurs, “University of Illinois physics professor,” but rather as “with the Council of Higher Education Accreditation.”

Did somebody at U of I tell Gollin to stop dragging the university into his sleazy little hobby?  Or did Dr. Dumbass decide he should spread around the blame a little better so that there are more deep pockets for plantiffs to get paid from when they sue him?

The funny thing about this story is that over on the left there is a link to the Rochville student transcript that was obtained through an FOIA request.  Notice that Rufus barely eked out a C+ in his Business Ethics class.  Think Rochville was trying to tell us something?

Former Water Dept. Worker Questions Employee Screening Process

ATLANTA -- A former security specialist for the city of Atlanta's Watershed Department told Channel 2 Action News investigative reporter Richard Belcher that the department's screening process is so sloppy, one senior manager won a promotion using a bogus college degree. Tonta Draper said that raises questions about the security team responsible for the safety of Atlanta's water supply.

Draper was in contention for the same $68,000 a year promotion. He didn't get it and eventually the department let him and 15 others go during a reduction in workforce. Belcher investigated to see if this was a case of sour grapes, or if there is something into the way Watershed Management hires and promotes.

Draper took Belcher along the perimeter of the city's intake plant on the Chattahoochee River in Northwest Atlanta. He said it's a site where competent security really matters. "If you wanted to damage the water system, this is where it would begin," said Draper.

Belcher didn't find any major security failures at city water facilities, but Draper argued that if the city is sloppy checking out its own security managers, there are some risks.

"I don't think the city of Atlanta wants to be in that position where you have a guy brought through the system, put in a position that's a figurehead, and then you can't do the job," said Draper.

In 2007, Draper said he and fellow watershed security employee Rufus Walden were competing for an important promotion. He said the job posting read that one qualification was a bachelor's degree that has to be from a properly accredited institution. Draper said Walden offered a diploma in business administrator from Rochville University that he had gotten just two months earlier, and got the job. Belcher looked up Rochville University on the computer and discovered that it was bogus. Belcher also called Professor George Gollin with the Council of Higher Education Accreditation who said it was a diploma mill.

Bill Taylor of Watersheld Management told Belcher he could not talk about personnel issues. He said he can't provide any information about Walden or any employee. City officials did provide Walden's letter of resignation dated March 29. That's two weeks after Belcher picked up a copy of his personnel file through and open records request.

Walden's wife told Belcher city officials made him resign. Taylor would not confirm that.  "Nothing has been brought to my attention in that matter for a particular individual missing, as you would say, a check or a background check," he said.

Draper said he believes someone either dropped the ball or intentionally overlooked a fake degree. He said he thinks that's a big deal, especially in a security job. "That's the whole premise of you being there. Your character, integrity, because you're protecting people. People need to know you're an honest broker."

A warning to lovers of Freedom and Liberty!

Those of us who live the United States as well as all other Democratic nations of this world must understand the necessity to safeguard our freedoms. We must recognize that with freedom comes immense responsibilities.

Those who oppose freedom do so for a variety of reasons. Some are out of greed. Those who have wealth and privilege seek to maintain it at all costs. Others fight against liberty out of misguided idealism. This paternalistic notion that “we know what is best” is present thought out society and is responsible for some of the worst acts of evil ever perpetrated.

The creators of Hitler's Reich, as well as Joe Stalin's henchmen were men who were often idealists. The USSR was a nation of idealists who believed that ordinary people were incapable of controlling their destinies.

This is why I created this manifesto. I want to warn everyone of what is being done to free thinking and freedom loving individuals.

This writing is warning to all who love freedom.

Be warned before you read these words. Many would like to see these words suppressed. They will stop at nothing to do so. As you read these words, it is certain that many others are doing so as well.

The Accreditation Mafia are out there. They are armed and ready.

This is a document which will be passed along in secret among a few. Hopefully it will lead to a revolution of a sort. Not a bloody revolution, mind you. We will not see another French Revolution, but rather a revolution of thinking people.

THE PROBLEM

Let us first identify the problem.

Academic Freedom is being opposed by many individuals. Many are elitists. They oppose any and all forms of innovation in academia. They fear innovation.

This is not new. In the era of Galileo there were like minded people. We know them as the inquisition.

And we see similar attacks today. We have institutes of higher learning being attacked.

Some schools are Distance Learning schools. Some are accredited and some are not.

In 2004 a US Government investigation was launched to target Distance Learning Programs. In front of the US Senate, a committee met led by Susan Collins, Republican Senator from Maine, and Democratic Senator Joseph Lieberman (who was later voted out of his party by voters in his own state.)
In this committee a Coast Guard Officer claimed to have earned 40% of her credits in an academic program in a matter of 16 hours. She did not elaborate on how this was done other than reading text books and taking tests. The School mentioned in this investigation was Kennedy-Western University, which was later renamed as Warren National University.

While, on the surface this report was damaging, it must be said that no representative from the University was allowed to testify on the institution's behalf. It also needs to be mentioned that this investigation was only for the purpose of spending government funds and could in no way be considered an indictment on this University. Many former students, in various places stated it to be improbable if not impossible to earn that many credit hours in such little time.

In spite of this kangaroo court-like procedure, the University continued to offer degrees and thrived. But other problems were encountered. In the State of Oregon, the legislature passed a law forbidding any individual to put the name of an unaccredited institution on a resume. KWU challenged this law and the State backed down with a compromise deal which required individuals to cite that their school was unaccredited.

Finally, the State of Wyoming, bowing to political pressure forbade all unaccredited schools from operating in their state. Kennedy-Western, now using the name Warren National attempted to be accredited but lost their bid and folded.

For the academic elitists this was a victory of a sort. Many celebrated this school's demise. A local opinion sheet, a publication whose name I will not mention due to legal reasons, even stated that the principles of this school should face criminal prosecution. This is rather hypocritical considering that this said publication (edited, published and written by one individual by the way) was instrumental in closing this school.

Academic Elitism, we must understand is the problem here. This is mainly because traditional education sees anything new or innovative as a threat. This is why a cabal of elitists will target schools and even stalk graduates and attempt to destroy their careers.

Consider a professor at a major Big Ten School. Again I will not use this person's name. But this individual is a well known “expert” on what he describes as “Diploma Mills.”

Diploma Mills, in the strictest sense are phony colleges which charge money to print and send out phony degrees and diplomas. But to the Accreditation Mafia, this definition is expanded to include any school which does not meet their standards. Usually this means a college or university which is not accredited. Almost always it is a school which uses teaching methods and degree granted procedures which are different from the norms.

But to return to our professor, he had continued to blast different schools and individuals. That is until he bit off more than he could chew.

St Luke's Medical School, a school in Liberia has sued this individual and the university he represents for libel and slander. It seems that this was actually a legitimate school and the Accreditation Mafia bit off more than they could chew.

THE SOLUTION

I do not wish to say that true “Diploma Mills” can be allowed to prosper and flourish. There are actually a number of bogus degree granting schools which sell nice looking diplomas for money and nothing else. Some will even provide the buyer with phony transcripts and references.

But the zeal to suppress such institutions has led to a orgy of oppression. Today many honest and decent people enroll in legitimate schools which happen to not be accredited. They spend money, work very hard and sacrifice only to be hounded by overzealous officials and the previously mentioned accreditation Mafia.

But there is hope left. We can reverse this trend and fight those who seek to oppress the free thinkers and the non conformists.

Remember that all great ideas had their opponents. Louis Pasteur, Thomas Edison, Nicola Tesla and many others have had their fights. They called them insane until history vindicated them.

We, who champion non-traditional education must stand firm and fight our oppressors head on.

We can do it by enlisting the support of others. Remember there is strength in numbers. The elitists want us to die quietly but we will continue the fight.

We must challenge those who ridicule us or spread lies. We must write newspapers that spread lies. We must post in message boards and blogs. We must spread the word that the cause of Academic Freedom is as basic a right as the right to free speech and a free press.

We much challenge all oppressive laws. Remember that the right to list your school on a resume is your own right to free speech. Academic Freedom is as basic a right as the right to a free press, free speech and peaceful assembly.

I urge everyone to copy and post these words and distribute freely.

The human mind is a powerful weapon! Free your minds and let liberty flourish!

The only way for evil to flourish is for good men to say nothing. Wise words indeed!

St. Luke Adds ODA As Defendant
Posted by: Herbert Spencer - 05-02-2010, 06:28 PM - Forum: George Gollin - Replies (7)

St. Luke School of Medicine has filed a First Amended Complaint, adding the State of Oregon Office of Degree Authorization as a defendant in their lawsuit.  They also have added a bunch of new allegations about defendant George Gollin.

Unfortunately Part 3 of the first amended complaint was too big to attach, but it was just exhibits.  It's available for download on the PACER website.  The good stuff is in Part 2.

OBAMA CHEATING SCANDAL

Quote:PRESIDENT OBAMA has been caught in a shocking cheating scandal after being caught in a Washington, DC Hotel with a former campaign aide, sources say.

And now, a hush-hush security video that shows everything could topple both Obama's presidency and marriage to Michelle!

A confidential investigation has learned that Obama first became close to gorgeous 35 year-old VERA BAKER in 2004 when she worked tirelessly to get him elected to the US Senate, raising millions in campaign contributions.

While Baker has insisted in the past that "nothing happened" between them, the ENQUIRER has learned that top anti-Obama operatives are offering more than $1 million to witnesses to reveal what they know about the alleged hush-hush affair.

Among those being offered money is a limo driver who says that he took Vera to a secret hotel rendezvous where the President was staying.

On the condition of anonymity, the limo driver said he took Baker "from a friend's home in the DC area to the Hotel George where I learned later that Obama would be spending the night."

The driver recalled that he "waited in the lobby while she went to change her outfit.

"But to the best of my knowledge she did not have a room at the hotel and she was not staying there so I thought that it was a bit odd."

The driver said he then picked up Obama at the airport and drove both he and Baker to various locations while he was campaigning for funds.  Vera accompanied him to each meeting.

"About 10:30 PM, I drove them to the hotel and they went in together!"

"My services for the evening were done - and there was no indication she was going to leave the hotel that night."

A top DC source told The ENQUIRER exclusively that the driver's account had been independently corroborated by investigators who believe the couple spent the night together at the hotel.

The ENQUIRER has also learned that on-site hotel surveillance video camera footage could provide indisputable evidence.

"Investigators are attempting to obtain a tape from the hotel (that) shows Vera and Barack together," the DC insider confided.

"If the tape surfaces, it will explode the scandal."

Jimmy Clifton didn't have to put up with this crap when he ran his own short-lived forum!!! Of course, the active membership was just Jimmy and some bozo who called himself Miguel Stefan and had the Frito Bandito as an avatar. I believe that I may have posted there several times as well. (Just to piss off the late Uncle J, who refused to post in any forum that had any Jamesville/DL Truth poster as a member.)    Cool
