Now that "King of the Hill" has moved to Adult Swim on late night Cartoon Network I find myself watching it more and more. Anyway, last night's episode was actually about Peggy being conned by a diploma mill.

Epsiode: The Substitute Spanish Prisoner (6th Season)
Peggy takes an online I.Q. test sponsored by the "Intelligence Institute of Texas," and is declared a genius. When the head of the Institute, Dr. Vayzosa, offers her a chance to get a PhD for only $900, she uses the family savings to pay for it. When Luanne takes the online I.Q. test and also scores as a genius, Peggy realizes that she has been conned, and she comes up with an elaborate sting to get the money back. (Amazon.com)

What the epsiode description doesn't point out: After Peggy took the test and scored "genius" she is prompted to buy a few books that will be sold at the convention held at the Hotel Arden. The "Dr" pulls her aside and convinces her to buy the PhD package. After one night of listening to audio tape lectures and doing a few workbooks Peggy gets to the bottom of the box where she finds her diploma which by the way she has to write her on name on. The other kicker, typical of diploma mills, is in the scene where Peggy goes to the "Institiute". It show's her holding up a picture of what looks like a university campus. As she pulls the picture away we discover it's actually a hotel.

***Side Note: The "Dr" was voiced by Jeff Goldblum... perfect choice IMO***

I used to like both of these guys, Janko before I realized how disturbed he was and Peter before he went over to the dark side. Hell, I still like Peter. He has some semblance of normal albeit with an Australian accent while I'm from Canerder.

Everyone knows that a proper collaboration requires at least 15 other people.  This is the tradition at great American institutions like Princeton, by whom I, the intellectually superior George Loots-Gollin, was awarded my real, 100% legitimate and highly prestigious PhD.  This “Dr.” Destruction only has a mere 4 other people with whom to collaborate.  This by definition is splooie.

I made this insightful discovery by my usual meticulous and highly technical research methods.  I googled his name and couldn’t find even one single mention of where he got his “doctorate.”  Plus, I used Sam Spade AND the Wayback machine.  Hah, you just don’t get any more thorough than that.  Therefore, I think he’s not a real doctor, and if I think it, it must be true.

Using the same rigorous and highly scientific process I hear my friends used when they wrote my Princeton doctoral dissertation for me, I have determined that “Matt Destruction” is not this strange fellow’s real name!  I looked it up in Wikipedia and found out his real name is Mattias Bernwall.  He is some sort of a Swedisher, from Sweden, who plays in a musical ensemble known as The Hives.  You can see some of their unaccredited work on display here.  Well, they can't fool me with those school boy uniforms.  

I ate Swedish meatballs once and they gave me gas.   Tick tick boom indeed.  Oy, such a fetzer I was.  

All Bear clones, immediately execute Plan Nine.  Anonymously call, write and email this duck turd’s employer and try to get him fired out of his job.  (Or is Plan Nine the one where all corpses rise from the dead and kill everyone?  Whatever.)  Stand by now for a secret Bear-O-Gram message.  Ready your decoder rings.

Invoking the name of Gus reminded me to check the Miami-Dade County recorder. No action against Homeless Gus in the last 6 months, at least nothing filed. Since he hasn't posted anything lately, maybe he's reformed and doesn't hate everybody who has a crappier education than his crappy education.

KEISIE was suddenly discovered by a degreeinfo member, after being discussed at degreeboard for quite a long time. After I mentioned this to Dr. Wayne Bottiger, he commented on the thread on degreeinfo.
