John Bear secretly edits Wikipedia article about Greenwich University

as posted elsewhere

It appears that John Bear edited a Wikipedia article about Greenwich University mentioning him as "the notorious degree mill operator" and turned the mention into "world-famous education author".

Due to the mean sprited-ness at Degreediscussion.com, Jimmy feels compelled to get away from it all.  Who can blame him.  I noticed none of the people who normally perpetrate the mean spirited-ness bothered to make a nice comment.  Perhaps there's hope for Jimmy afterall.

Is Gregg DesElms a sort of "sex tourist"?
Posted by: ham - 04-10-2008, 07:42 AM - Forum: Gregg DesElms - No Replies

Is Gregg DesElms (Gregg Des Elms ) some sort of "sex tourist", perchance?
There are many decent folks who have married "first generation filipinas", but i am sure old Gregg and his self-righteous fellows might find another splinter in someone else's eye and call him "sex tourist" if he were to do the same... I can almost hear them bellyaching over chauvinism, unequal rights, sex slavery...

Gregg DesElms wants to "to share with some of today's young men"?
Posted by: ham - 04-10-2008, 06:38 AM - Forum: Gregg DesElms - Replies (1)

Quote:"I'm a senior DeMolay from Steel City Chapter in Gary, Indiana. Active back in the '70s. Now living in Northern California. I'm a PMC, RD, Chevalier and I can't even remember what else. I also held a few minor state offices. I never joined Masonry (to my father's chagrin). I was Flower Talk champion three times in a row at Conclave; placed second or third once or twice before that. After more than 25 years away from DeMolay, I'm interested in getting involved again -- perhaps as an adviser, I suppose, but I'm not sure I have the time for that quite yet. I would love to give the Flower Talk again, though -- at initiations and, preferably, at installations. Now that I'm a man with more years behind him than in front, it has a lot more meaning for me -- meaning I'd like to share with some of today's young men of DeMolay so that maybe it can have meaning for them a lot earlier in life than it did for me. Anyone interested, please let me know. Also, I own a company that, among other things, provides Internet access and web hosting... though mostly to companies, rather than to individuals. Nevertheless, I'd be willing to provide *FREE* web space to divisions and chapters that need it so they don't have to use free, slow, pop-up-ad-ridden (or banner-ad-ridden) services like Angelfire, Homestead, Tripod, Geocities and others. If anyone's interested in that, just let me know. My email address is gregg@greggdeselms.com and my telephone number is, toll-free, 1-877-383-5148."

formerly on http://www.norcaldemolay.com/cgi-bin/alu...%20DesElms

why would he want anything to do with "young men" after 25 years of wanting nothing to do with his ancient fraternity?
His own words, not innuendo or "outing"...an ad he placed himself for public display a few years back.
Notice how he regrets never joining masonry (against family tradition perhaps? ).
Now, he and fellow keyboard sociopath uncle Janko typically bellyache together.
Next time you do bellyache about "nazis", keep in mind that Adolf Hitler and his entourage all belonged to "secret masonic societies"...

Bear Favors Notion of DL Convention
Posted by: Little Arminius - 04-08-2008, 12:37 PM - Forum: John Bear - Replies (3)

Quote:originally posted by Dr. John Bear at DegreeDiscussion

"This was also around the time we were discussing having a convention of participants (which I still think is a most intriguing idea). The matter of screen names arose, and I think people felt that there could be a convention where would-be anonymous folk could remain anonymous, with screen-name badges only."

DegreeDiscussion thread

This would be a once-in-a-lifetime event. Imagine the people, the stories, the personalities ... the egos! I would definitely attend if it was opened up to the entire DL community. Maybe we should conduct a poll?

  Why is Jimmy Racist

I realize he grew up in the South where the following activity made for lively Saturday nights:

(LINK SERVED ITS PURPOSE AND REMOVED)

Why would he say this about Moe Schmidt:

"So nice to be dressed down by someone who cannot construct a simple sentence, cannot spell, and cannot use proper grammar."

http://www.degreediscussion.com/viewtopic.php?t=5331

The guy's a German. English is his second language. Next thing you know he'll be calling him a Kraut, Squarehead, or Jewkiller. Maybe he'll go out "Brooming Krauts." Hey Jimmy, some of those Asians have bad grammar too.

I removed the link but it lives on in the next post. Oh well!

Question Tension Between Janko and Little Fauss?
Posted by: Little Arminius - 04-04-2008, 01:18 AM - Forum: Nominees, second-stringers, others - Replies (43)

Judging by the tone of the DD thread, it looks like there may be some tension between good old Uncle Janko and our newest member, Little Fauss. I suspect that it is due more to Uncle J's misanthropic tendencies than anything Little Fauss may have recently written or said. Unc holds grudges like no other; I seem to remember the turning point in their relationship being a post in which Little Fauss made some comments critical of apartheid-era South Africa. Janko went ballistic and moved Fauss onto his special list reserved for the likes of Dovelos, Chip White and Robert Ray Hill. Prior to that Uncle Janko had referred to Little Fauss as a "mensch" and appeared to respect his opinions. Now ...
