  Who Does This Describe?
Posted by: 4Knee Kate - 06-18-2008, 10:50 AM - Forum: George Gollin - Replies (28)

Narcissistic Personality Disorder

A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:

  • has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
  • preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
  • believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
  • requires excessive admiration
  • has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations
  • is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
  • lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others
  • is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her
  • shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

JB IN "THE TIMES" - 1975
Posted by: DR ANATIDAE - 06-18-2008, 06:13 AM - Forum: John Bear - Replies (11)

The Times has today made its archive of newspapers up to 1985 available online. Registration is simple and free - you will need to register.

What do we find on 4 February 1975?

At last, a move to drive out the pedlars of bogus degrees

"Two Americans-Dr John Bear and Dr James Campbell- sold degrees from West Hill House, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight. They described themselves as two men of unimpeachable academic credentials but said they needed £25,000 to start a new college. "So we have decided to sell honorary doctorates to raise the money to start our school. We might have chosen to sell magazines, or flowering shrubs or vitamins. But we are selling honorary doctorates, very beautiful and utterly meaningless pieces of paper." Just one advertisement in an American paper sold 10,000 dollars worth of degrees at the end of 1972, they said."

And you all thought they were doing it for charity!

Sad The Bastard Isn't Dead

Disappointing news from Toelicker Central:

John?Bear Wrote:Gregg appeared (unannounced) on the doorstep of a forum participant in another state, earlier this year. It was apparently rather challenging and difficult moment, and said person has chosen not to write about it.

Wonder who the lucky "said person" was who got a brain-addled socialist for a door prize? Some unfortunate Asian hooker? A pedophile-pandering porn peddler? An effeminate ersatz minister with a 60 member congregation?

Bear tries to play it off, but it is obvious he feels slighted by the NY Times.

  Degreeinfo nonsense.
Posted by: D00bie - 06-15-2008, 06:35 AM - Forum: Chip White - Replies (4)

If you want to waste an hr of your life read this:

http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?t=28190

It is three pages and 70+ posts of pantie bunching.

The real funny post is this one on page 3:

http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread....190&page=3

Chip White Wrote:If the applicant is anything other than completely forthright, it's not someone I give any serious consideration to hiring, because if they are willing to be deceptive, whether actively or passively, then they are probably going to continue to exhibit other behaviors that are equally questionable when they are working for my company.

Who is he kidding ?  The requirement for working for his company is looking like a prepubescent boy or having big smelly feet.  Does anyone think Chip has hired anyone for their degree ?  Deception ? Did he really talk about deception in the industry he is in ?

If you also notice earlier in his post Chip is like stuck in the year 2000 or something.  Whenever he posts anything he talks about shit from like 10 years ago and never has anything to contribute that is current, kinda like Doogle and Mr. Bear now. Useless.

"Peaceforall" is now taking the proverbial dirtnap.

Without question, my most frequent complaint as an Admin is that I don't take action against negative posters quickly enough.

While I think that complaint does has some merit, as I usually try to give anyone the benefit of the doubt to almost the extreme, I've moved quickly in this case.(UNQUOTE)

Those peckerheads can't handle a civil argument. Tait continues his history of abuse. Abuse of civil rights. Abuse of sick days. Abuse of forum guests. Have another donut Tait. You still fit into the chair.

What a way to win an argument. If you can field the points he's making, give him the boot. That's been done a few times. And the mindless sheep eat it up. Wonder why everyone at degreeinfo is in total agreement?

  Dixie's Sentencing Memo
Posted by: Armando Ramos - 06-11-2008, 01:21 PM - Forum: General Education Discussions - Replies (2)

As usual, George Gollin (George D. Gollin, George Dana Gollin) is acting the shill for the RA cartel and government prosecutors.  He's posted all the government's stuff but not a word from Dixie.

So in fairness here's a link to Dixie's sentencing memo.  This is quite a contrast to the large pile of garbage the government has presented.  Very effective, concise and does not rely on bootstrapping self-serving newspaper articles.  Does not need a shill to explain the important parts either.  Look for howls of outrage come July when she gets zero jail time.

Dixie's Sentencing Memo (.doc format)
Steve's Sentencing Memo (.pdf format)
Attachment (.pdf)
Note the attachment refers to Ron Pellar's sentencing (8 months total on 9 counts, despite previous convictions for attempted murder and fraud).

Others reported to have been approved include Yorktown and University of Atlanta (formerly Barrington).

Any others?

Exclamation Gus Takes the Gloves Off

Gus Sainz, the Grand Poohbah of DegreeDiscussion, has a policy of personally approving and activating all new members to avoid spammers and people like us. I guess that his latest member met Gus' standard.

new member profile - 6/9/08

If Gus is going to take his trademark cheap shots at our members, then we'll have to take the gloves off as well.
